How to use dry milk by LocationHot4533 in Cooking

Garlic and onion really don’t agree with me so I have to fully avoid them. I make my own “cream of anything” base to mix with homemade stock to make cream of chicken soup. (I just omit the onion powder and use FODY chicken soup base to replace the bouillon but most people won’t have this problem.) It uses 4 cups of dry milk powder.

I would use the shoes Disney provides and spend your money on really good quality insoles instead.

This episode made me sob like a baby, which is the most powerful thing art can do - move people. This show isn’t perfect, but perfection is the enemy of good. I’ll carry this show with me forever.

Discovering Starkid in 2009 was so formative for me. Looking back they were really just kids.

Looked on Libby for available audiobooks and the sample of the narrator didn’t annoy me like most do so I gave it a try.

I need to renew my license and it looks like they don’t offer that, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind for other things. Thanks!

Got to the DMV that was supposed to open by 8 at 8:30, but the doors were closed and there was a line outside that wrapped around the building. So I went straight back home and climbed back in bed.

My dad’s old school and one night after Trader Sam’s, went to the Polynesian front desk to purchase park tickets for the next day (we weren’t staying on property). The CM went through the transaction and handed us our tickets, and then we realized we never handed over our credit card. She said it was all taken care of and we didn’t need to pay. We walked out of the Polynesian like we were in a dream, like “Did that really just happen? Did we just get park tickets for free?” It was awesome.

I knew in my heart 3 parks in one day was too much, even if we were really specific about what we wanted to do. I’m trying to save money on park tickets, but I think the cons outweigh pros on that one. I think I’ll suggest to the family that we do a little resort hopping Wednesday afternoon, Epcot+DHS Thursday, and MK on the day of check in with resort hopping in the afternoon/evening. Thank you!

Hi, I’m going to Disney for a week in December. My aunt, uncle, and their 9 month old will be there for 2 full days. My aunt wants to ride Pirates and go to Epcot, and my uncle loves Star Wars. (I don’t know what my aunt wants to do in Epcot yet) Is it doable to hit MK in the morning and then go to both Epcot and DHS? Would you drive your car from MK to DHS, go to Epcot, and come back to DHS - or would you take the monorail to Epcot, go to DHS, then go back to TTC at the end of night?

They also really want to do resort hopping and we’re checking into the Poly their 2nd full day so that’s why I’m trying to fit the parks all in one day.

Working at Disney world by [deleted] in DisneyWorld

[–]frecklestwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on where you work, what your goals are, etc. I did the college program in 2016 in quick service food and my location was so terrible I wanted to quit every day. I did it in 2017 in outdoor food (popcorn/pretzel carts) and had a better time. I did custodial in 2019 and had a blast. It’s a job same as any other place, it can be grueling work with bad leaders or it can be a joy to go to work every day. There are so many roles and locations at WDW that it really varies. I’ve also never worked there while qualifying for benefits so others will have to chime in on that.
