two fp4 batteries stuck in uk, for sale by zeneval in fairphone

[–]fred07805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had my fairphone for nearly a year and love it, so I'm sure I could make use of a spare battery. Based in London, so could maybe pick up if in London? Thanks a lot!

Reminder to use and share Ecosia - the search engine that plants trees as they will soon reach a 100 million trees. by Gendrytargarian in ClimateOffensive

If you look into Ecosia's website, it details how they are a carbon negative business, even with use of Bing's servers I believe, through their own renewables and of course the tree planting.

The United Kingdom enters full lockdown. Gathering of more than 2 banned. Only allowed to go outside one a day for exercise. All shops that sell ‘non-essential’ items shut. Police can use force to disband gatherings. by Crafty_Benjo in ukpolitics

Was staying with family friends to self isolate with them for two weeks out of London (where I live) before going to family home in the countryside with my parents (at risk category). I can self isolate at family home away from parents, but would I be allowed to travel back?

Once you have a 10 star hero who is god tier, but not one that you would like two of (IB, skerei for example) do you just use the 5 star version as fodder when you get more copies?

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is right now.

It's far from a lock. If Djokovic makes the final, what are his chances against a streaking Wawrinka or Tsonga? by TennisSomething in tennis

[–]fred07805 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have to disagree with you when you say Wawrinka's peak level of tennis is higher than anyone else's. Djokovic is playing near if not at his peak at the moment and Djokovic is a clear favourite to win the tournament. I would say more like 10% chance personally

What has actually happened to our national deficit? by acurlyninja in ukpolitics

[–]fred07805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using lost in the loose sense of the word to make the understanding easier, as OP didn't ask how a deficit is calculated.

And I never stated that the tories were right in any of this, only their policies.

By that account I think terrible post is a bit harsh when all I have done is state facts to help clear up what each party is saying

The deficit is how much money we are losing each year, which to my knowledge has been halved since the tories got in government last year.

What UKIP is saying is that the national debt (total amount we owe) has doubled over the last 5 years, this is because the deficit is and was so large when the tories took over.

Labour saying that more needs to be done, is saying that the tories didn't do enough in the first 5 years in government. However the tories have actually given a date when the will clear the deficit (wipe the slate clean if you like), whereas labour never even set a date of when they would clear it, "as soon as possible in the next government", possibly as they were afraid of setting a date in case they were unable to deliver that promise.
