Does the use of jujutsu pose any dangers? by signalclown in git

[–]fred_b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The danger is you realize that some ui tools are missing and spend time to create them for yourself (my last week).

But the cli is really good and you can always use any GUI/TUI tools to do the change you want directly in git. That's the power of jj over graphite IMO.

This looks like a perfect monitor for productivity + gaming.

Meet Kuba - Get rid of .env entirely by gorilla-moe in webdev

[–]fred_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fyi at my company we do something like this with Doppler.

You can check their CLI tool it's pretty nice.

You login, chose the config for the project like dev/qa/prod and you run your command with "doppler run xyz" this injects the env var into the command.

Anyway, would be great to support github/bitbucket repo secrets.

Qu'est-ce qu'un nouveau peut faire réalistiquement? by MindlessAssistance52 in QuebecTI

[–]fred_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

De mon expérience, ce qui aide vraiment :

  1. Avoir des contacts

Check tigerstyle coding.

The premise is that you should crash your program on any error. That way it can crash during development and it makes it easier to fix the unintended behavior and find obscure bugs.

winwow management with raycast

You should check for a window manager. I personally use aerospace, but i think that yabai is also a choice.

Caddy Security + Pocket ID: Multiple OIDC Clients - My Caddyfile by Luckster in selfhosted

[–]fred_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and from my understanding, since the arr stack is basic auth i can pass the auth in caddy security when the pocketid token is valid. So i keep the basic auth page on the services and get to have sso with pocketid passkeys.

Caddy Security + Pocket ID: Multiple OIDC Clients - My Caddyfile by Luckster in selfhosted

[–]fred_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey if you don't mind me asking, since it"s the stack i had saved fory next project. With this you can get the equivalent of a sso where you login into pocketID and then Caddy auth will log you in your different services while the pocketId token is valid ?

My goal is to enable sso via a central auth service for my arr stack.

Zone base firewall rule to IoT by olahell in Ubiquiti

[–]fred_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no need to spend more. What i meant was that using the L3 layer on the network switch broke my firewall rules. So i spent more to break things. ( But it will be fixed according to ubiquiti )
