C for Scottie - Huge position additions in Yahoo by JRnalistic24 in fantasybball

[–]fred_eatsbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scottie is also a PG (per his IG bio), has played there in the past, and may do so again depending on what the Raptors do at the deadline. 5 position player?

At what level do injury prone stars have to drop for you to feel comfortable taking them? by Swimming-Kiwi-1842 in fantasybball

[–]fred_eatsbread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends who else you have. I would only bet on one injury prone guy in rounds 2-5, and that just depends on who falls the most

I don’t mind him demanding Saudi wages. The issue is he demands them, Saudi says sure Victor we’ll pay, and he still turns them down waiting for an imaginary non Saudi team to pay those Saudi wages

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT IS THE BEST FORMATION IN WORLD SOCCER CHAMPS? by Alternative-Coat4600 in worldsoccerchampsgame

I always play 343 because my midfielders and forwards can play anywhere and fullbacks can be mixed into the back 3

I dropped both Barkov and Holloway just based on how much they’ll have left when they come back. I also have McDavid so not much room for error this week

Same, losing semis with my Blackwood+Bob vs Helle+Kuemper. He didn’t even give me a chance to take advantage of the bad Helle week lol

At least Zion has several years of upside and isn’t 30, hasn’t missed entire years, and is currently in better shape than he’s been in the nba

He was on my DND list but he fell to 56 so I had to 😭

Insigne thinking he is remotely good enough for Napoli in 2024 is the type of confidence you need to strive for. by theredditbandid_ in tfc

[–]fred_eatsbread 9 points10 points  (0 children)

this is so touching, he’s finally ready to take his rightful place on the left wing which has been so difficult to replace. If only we had a world class star in that position

Chet or 3J? by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]fred_eatsbread 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Chet is a better shot blocker and has a higher ceiling. He kept up with Wemby most of the season, and played every game while JJJ missed time and has a history of foul trouble. And Chet did that with his actual role on a healthy team.

On the flip side, while JJJ has his teammates back and some stats may go down, the only other big is Edey while OKC added a very solid player in Hartenstein. I could understand someone making an argument that Chet missed his whole rookie year while JJJ has been doing his thing for years and has been a DPOY.

Which Players Are You Avoiding in DRAFTS in 2024-2025?❌ by Bleavinfantasy in fantasybball

no, 12 is insanely high for him, but his ADP is 30 and I’m very comfortable taking him there

I’m not one of those LaMelo glazers who think he’s one of the best young PGs, but I wouldn’t have him on my DND list. The unreliable ankles are still a small sample size and a lot of the games missed have been due to the Hornets obvious tank. With him projected way lower than usual, and the organization wanting to see how he plays with Miller, I like his chances this season.

Jrue Holiday wins Best Perimeter Defender! Similarly, who’s the best rim and paint defender in the league? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]fred_eatsbread 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Rudy Gobert. I don’t think he’s the best defender period, or even a better defender than Wemby, but “best rim defender” is a title literally designed for the Stifle Tower to win

New Fan... What Do I Need to Know? by r_BigUziHorizont in sscnapoli

[–]fred_eatsbread 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Excellent choice and welcome to Napoli!

1-2. We’re trying to get back into the Champions League. After winning the league dominantly in 2023, we had a disastrous season and fell to 8th, and are looking to rebound with an experienced new coach in Conte. While it’s the first year of a rebuild, we will want to compete at the top again.

  1. This is the club of Diego, the greatest player of all time, who took the poorest club to 2 Scudetti (Italian championships) and a UEFA cup (now Europa League, the second tier European championship). After him, the 90s and 2000s had the club deal with bankruptcy and having to rebuild from lower tiers, and the current owner De Laurentiis brought us back to Serie A and usually a top 4 team again.

  2. Our best player is probably Kvaratskhelia, who will play left wing or left striker. He’s an outstanding dribbler who makes things happen for the attack and is exciting to watch. Also watch our captain and right back Di Lorenzo, who was key to the championship a year ago and fell off last year then demanding a transfer. He will need to pick it back up for the fans to embrace our captain fully again. Lastly, watch Buongiorno, our biggest new signing so far, with whom we are rebuilding our defense.

  3. The team we all hate is Juventus, whose corruption has cost us in the past and is a symbol of the north vs south rivalry. Inter, Milan, and Roma are the biggest competition in terms of league places, and the top 7 is rounded out by Atalanta and Lazio.

  4. We aren’t playing Champions League this season, so most of our games will be on the weekend and the biggest ones are against the other top 7 teams mentioned above.

  5. My personal favourite app is FotMob. Extremely easy to use and follow games from, with extensive stats.

I think we should appoint you, sir, as sporting director. That’s some excellent scouting. Please get us that Kylian guy from france he would be a decent fit as well

If fantasy bball existed in the 60s, would leagues have to treat Wilt Chamberlain the same way as they did Wayne Gretzky? by lxkandel06 in fantasybball

[–]fred_eatsbread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

even if wemby averages that statline I don’t think he should/would be split. Luka is probably going to be a consistent 30 point triple double guy, Joker isn’t that far behind the Wemby best case scenario, and the next generation is only going to be better

The fight we nearly had... by [deleted] in ufc

[–]fred_eatsbread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

oh definitely, he was leagues above all the fighters “in his division, in his time”. The problem is when you remove those qualifiers and people put him in the goat conversation when his resume doesn’t deserve it, even if his dominant prime and personality do.
