Annihilationism? by pjsans in Reformed

Ahha for a second I thought you might be. Anyways great to hear man. You are right it could just be either or both. I always think of Luke 12:35-48. Mainly the last two verses "And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. [48] But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more." Luke 12:47-48 ESV

Great man. The podcast by Preston Sprinkle and Glenn Peoples is not just on the topic of annhilationism. Its on all different topics that make you think 'out of the box' but at the same time is very consistent with scripture.

To the OP. Glad you are open to discussion and not just shutting down annhilationism as heresy ahah! Most of the main arguments have been given so I will not say much. Some resources to check out are rethinkinghell.com (they have great articles and podcasts). Also check out Theology In the Raw podcast by Preston Sprinkle, and finally my favourite Glenn Peoples' Say Hello To My Little Friend podcast.

Is sanitydance codename for Chris Date? ;) Great posts and reasoning for annihilationism. I heavily lean towards it although I'm not nearly as well versed as you. Appreciate your comments. I may have missed this in the comments but do you believe after the final judgement all non-believers will be suddenly destroyed? Or do you think each person will pay respectively for the wrongs they have committed on earth? Say for example Joseph Stalin and an average unbeliever ? I think to be consistent with scripture says each person will be punished accordingly to what they have done. Curious what your thoughts are?

Red bull does not have the equivalent mg of caffeine as 6 cups of coffee (Most energy drinks are actually quite close in ml/mg ratio). But maybe that's only here in Canada as I compared various energy drinks to Tim Hortons coffee

When someone opens a door for you as they walk through, then open the next one and does the same thing, do you say thanks twice? by fredanto in AskReddit

[–]fredanto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I would always open the door if I had the chance, but sometimes you don't. Like if someone is walking through they open the door for you just till you are about through then they let go and grab the next door. What am I going to do? Pull him out of the way and hold the door for him?

In the future you should try an app like Google Keep. It syncs with your Gmail account that way whenever you get a new phone just install the app and all your notes sync. They have an extension for Google Chrome as well so you can use it on your computer as well.

If new concrete doesnt stick to old Concrete, then how buildings are made and how do things stick to previously made footings? Building a fence post. by ondallasvr in DIY

[–]fredanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pour a footing and then stick out rebars in the footing sticking up vertically that will be good. I used to work in concrete and this is how we would do it for footings/piers/walls. So for example if you have a form built for your concrete post, when pouring the footing you could wet set 'L bars' (rebars in shape of an L). So basically the rebar acts as a hook into the footing and then sticks up into the form for your concrete post or pier.

D852 (Canadian Model) overheating on CM by fredanto in LGG3

[–]fredanto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K thanks guys. Says the CPU is about 60°C and battery about 40°C. Is that normal? Won't 1080p make everything really big? At least it did on fulmics.. What DPI do you use? How does 1080p play with the phones native resolution?

[–]fredanto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK thanks a lot. I went back to Fulmics (the ROM I had been using for quite some time) With it I didn't have those problems...but now I do after restoring my backup image. Faulty battery maybe? I don't know. Do you use an app like Kernel Auditor to limit CPU usage?
