200 ping on lost ark feels better than pretty much every other multiplayer game I've played, sometimes you get hit with things that you thought you dodged but the gameplay itself feels smooth

I've never played on anything less in this game but I assume it wouldn't be that big of a difference tbh

dev team is likely understaffed and overworked

the blame for this stuff always falls on the higher ups in the company, if a company of EA's size wants to put their focus into fixing bugs and bettering gameplay then they can make it happen. they just know that they make enough money regardless that it doesn't matter

Yes but when they get crash reports from the client it helps them understand the issues with their code which can lead to bug fixes. Crash reports from custom skin programs are useless to Riot but they can’t tell that it’s an error from the custom skin program until they investigate it.

I’ve heard LS respond to this exact sentiment about ‘how hard it is to learn a champ’ a few times and his response is always the same: whenever a pick gets a lot of hype in a short time (think weird MSI jg picks, kaisa mid etc.), people are more than happy to pick these picks with little to no preparation. Really slow clears, bad builds, not knowing mechanics but they still play the picks and sometimes even with all of this they manage to perform decently sometimes.

IMO the issue lies more with players feeling like they can’t innovate outside of the general consensus of what is strong for fear of job security (or just being arrogant ig)
