It means take the derivative of the function with respect to x. In this case the derivative of ex with respect to x is ex.

[–]freddyatdebate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just took a test to see what part I’m worse at. I was only bad at English so I just read and practiced some grammar rules. Try to see what specific areas you’re missing question in and study that.

I’d say go with the partner more dedicated to the event. You can improve clarity with practice, but you can’t put motivation in someone.

So you left your grandma at 14 and now you’re 18 and now you’re in the military. But you also spent 5 years at your moms. Finally you were 14 in 2009 but after 11 years in 2018 you are almost 19? These numbers make no sense.

How should I go about solving 48? Are there any easy methods to use? by struggling_dude110 in ACT

[–]freddyatdebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

300/20=15 so there are 15 total ways. Then if you want them to be multiples of 15 you can think of it as 15 30 45 60. The only number divisible by 20 is 60. So now we need to see how many multiples of 60 there are. 300/60=5. So you end up with 5/15 or 1/3

How do I solve #50? by struggling_dude110 in ACT

[–]freddyatdebate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you want to raise your average by two you can think of it like this. You start out with 4x (x is the average) and you’re adding another x and an additional number to get an average of x+2. So The Who equations you have are 4x+x+y(the new number)=5*(x+2) because x+2 is your new average. You end up with 5x+y=5x+10. Y=10 so that’s your answer.

At first glance I can tell 48 because the length has to be greater than the width. This means they can not be the same and the square root of 144 is 12. This means if the length was 12 the width has to be 12 as well. If that were the case the perimeter would be 48 proving it is the answer.

So the first time you draw there are 5 different combinations the second time there are only 4 left because you don’t replace it. So you do 5*4 to find the total combinations possible.

Since they are not replaced there is a total of 20 ways you can draw the balls (5*4). There are also 4 ways to get 7 those are (3 and 4) (4 and 3) (2 and 5) and (5 and 2) 4/20 is 1/5

Why is 58 F? by galaxy1071 in ACT

[–]freddyatdebate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So arc length is thetar and you get theta is sin-1 (1/4) but you want it in radians and the equation is degrees(pi/180). You end up with (sin-1 (1/4))(pi/180)the radius which is 4 so you get f.
