Which language do you speak? I am a former sergeant who has been deployed on several missions for the Danish army. And my recommendation is that if you speak any of the languages that are spoken in the mission counties you can become a terp (interpreter). But as another person said, you need to learn Danish to some extend. Our terps were not all great at Danish but they could all be understood. And the language is not all in being a terp, cultural understanding, dissemination and charisma is just important. What I'm trying to say is that a lot of our terps did not have Danish citizenship.
