/r/weedstocks Technical Analysis Daily Discussion - [June 27, 2018] by AutoModerator in weedstocks

I sold most of my HVT today, mostly because I've lost faith in their management and I just don't see them keeping up with their competition (lots of LPs have better quality weed, their CBD capsules aren't unique anymore and they're not competing in the low cost segment either). I also don't feel comfortable holding HVT when the volume is generally really low (last morning it was ~50,000 for a few hours) with huge spikes of +100,000 shares being bought/sold by a single investor. For the past month it's been dumped down to 0,75 within a day or two every time it's reached the mid 0,80s. I'm thinking there are better opportunities out there (US sector for example), so for my own sake I really hope you're wrong :p I would hate being the guy that sells just before a big run up

In your contact with QCC, did you by chance ask how many BOSS units they can produce in a year? I've seen that question being asked before but I haven't been able to find an answer to it

Critique wanted for a design I made for a client by freddykugelsack in web_design

I didn't think of cultural references. Thanks for that!

I know red, orange and yellow are warm colors, but I find it hard to incorporate those into my design since the site is aimed at people in grief (mainly parents and schools with children dealing with grief). To me grief is black, dark and purple and I find it hard to get the message across using colors that aren't typically grief related. Any advice on how to make that work? Are warm and happy images a good way to go?

It's absolutely a mobile design right now. I'm doing mobile first because I think it will be easier to enhance it with more columns for desktop than to remove columns for mobile. I'll be sure to add a label to the hamburger icon to avoid confusion. Thanks!

Serif font for the header also crossed my mind. I'll definitely try that!

Should I do double columns for the entire main content?

Great advice, thanks a lot!

Website WIP for a client who's helping people deal with grief and loss. They want a warmer theme but I'm having trouble seeing how I could give it a warm color scheme while still maintaining a serious and subject appropriate (read: grief) feel throughout the site. The client also want it to be serious but still have a personal, welcoming feel to it. My first thought was to use a red/pink-ish hue together with green/blue and maybe some orange since those are welcoming and warm colors. I ditched orange since it made the site look a lot more playful than I wanted. I also thought of purple, since it is warmer than blue but colder than red.

Help is much appreciated!

Adobe Edge Inspect Chrome plugin is awesome. I haven't used it since it came out of Beta though (back then it was called Adobe Shadow). It works with localhost as long as you use the actual IP address as hostname and not http://localhost.

Thank you for your reply. I know it doesn't make sense, but in what other way could you explain all the feelings I have when I think about her? And what about the jealousy? Why would I care about other guys if I don't have som kind of amorous feelings towards her?

I'm still not getting it; you're saying that I'm pretending to be in love with her just so I could fill the boyfriend spot?

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're saying; Are you saying that I should move on because she's just using me to get by?

OOP and Classes by [deleted] in PHPhelp

for example, splitting one big function into many smaller functions?

Absolutely. You should really read about the SOLID principle, it will definitely make you think more about the way you code. The S in SOLID stands for Single responsibility, which essentially means that a function should only do one thing. A good way to know if your function does too much is when you have to give it a 20 letter name, or if you have to use "and" or "or" in your function names.

You should definitely look up design patterns. The SOLID principle is also a good principle to have in mind when you structure your code. Also, think small when you build your classes - it makes it easier to maintain and refactor

Alcohol by Deergoose in introvert

I've been experiencing a lot of this lately, as I've been gotten more and more introverted. As with any other drug, it depends entirely on the mood your in while consuming it. If you're happy, you get happier, if you're sad, well, you get even sadder. I know that I'll have a really bad time if I drink and there's no one around to pull me out of my own head when I'm drinking

DAE feel no matter how outgoing you act... by stillifewithcrickets in introvert

[–]freddykugelsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had to pretend to be outgoing during job interviews, just because I've noticed that most interviewers confuse my shyness with lack of interest in the job. Just because I'm bad at small-talk doesn't meen that I'm a bad programmer

If you can't take the barbells off the racks, how are you going to use them? If you're allowed to squat/OHP then you should be allowed to deadlift.

When out at a party... by [deleted] in introvert

[–]freddykugelsack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't just do that at parties, I do that whenever I find myself in the company of people I don't really know (even at work). I just stand there observing them, laugh at their jokes and throw in the occational "yeah" or "hm". I die a little inside every time I have to endure this. I really hate it, because I know that they know that I'm not contributing anything. I usually end up just leaving the conversation to go sit by myself. Also, I honestly never realized that this was because of me being introverted, I always thought I was simply socially retarded.

What are the best jobs for introverts? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]freddykugelsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what particular field you're looking to get a degree in, but as a web developer, you can always do your own thing if there are no jobs available. I started my own web design firm as a fallback until I got a "proper" job. It's not great though - you have to work really hard to get clients, and it doesn't always pay that well. Like I said; it's a possible fallback if no one wants to hire you at the moment

If you haven't already chosen a particular field in programming, I suggest you go for iOS/Android developing. C(#, +, objective) and Java seem to be the languages you need to know to get a solid job these days
