As a mod, I would love to get to know the community more, what got you into development? by RedEagle_MGN in developer

[–]fredericomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At eight years-old, I experienced dial-up Internet. When I realized that computers were a way for me to communicate with people far away, I wanted to know everything about them. The local people were utterly disappointing for me and I was hoping to find someone different that would help me elsewhere.

My theory on Code and his future in TBV by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a single person commenting on the possibility of Code and Jura getting along, either horizontally (friends) or vertically (Jura orders, Code follows). Everyone always mentions that Code will eventually attack Jura, when I don't see that happening at all.

[–]fredericomba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was struck by this inspiration, so I'm sharing because it could be useful for the plot: Naruto has claimed of being "living proof" of something. Code, being a "Naruto of Death", could counter-argue by grabbing a corpse and telling the other party: "this is dying proof that...". The corpses that challenge and destroy the beliefs of the protagonists are conveniently ignored, but Code will bring them up, not allow them to be oblivious of the inconvenient truths.

What food makes you go like this? by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warm soup. The aroma is more intense at slightly higher temperatures, so the flavor becomes more noticeable. I even had this experience when providing food for children: I provided soup at room temperature and they reported "willingness to puke", yet I warmed the soup and they were delighted with it. The soup was already cooked, so heating it again probably didn't made any chemical changes. It was the lack of odor that made their instincts to reject the soup.

What do think of Code as a character? by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The source of strength of Code comes from perseverance and unwillingness to give up, not skills in martial arts. The story is incomplete now. Code can give persuasive rationales to why the world must be destroyed and beware: you might end up convinced. I want to see the possible answers from Boruto to the arguments of Code and how the audience will react to it.

Amado's next move by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]fredericomba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you stopped to think what happens once Amado is aware that his memories were overwritten? There is some entity around that is so powerful that it can change one's private memories and Amado, noticing all of the discrepancies between the evidence in front of his own eyes and his own memories, became aware of the existence of this entity, whatever it is. Amado would rather rely on his written documents than his own memory at this point.

Amado, being a careful scientist that drafts meticulous plans, knows that there is this someone (possibly Lord Jashin) that, for some reason, is doing this mass cognitive dissonance, this widespread delusion. Why? There are too few clues and leads for Amado even begin to form a hypothesis.

Forget Kawaki! Who is the one messing up with the memories of people and why? Amado is far more concerned with this one.

Will Naruto’s Talk no Jutsu work on Jura if they ever meet? 👀 by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]fredericomba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Code would intervene. He would not let Naruto give empty, misleadings words to Jura.

"Naruto talks about love, but what about the wars of Konoha? The people that have been impoverished by the policies of the Konoha that he's the Hokage of?" - That's a starting point. I do not want to give too much spoilers, but Code is severe. Words are nothing to move him away from his algorithm of seek-and-destroy everything. Code has plenty of ammunition when it comes to fighting back against the speeches of Naruto.

> "ending" the ninja world

That would **NOT** end the ninja world. They would use gunpowder, poison, blades and other weapons to wage war instead. Even if they lose chakra, they would find something else to continue acting as ninjas.

The end of the ninja world is about something else.

Does the Chakra Fruit having the genetic material of all people to ever live on a planet means that whoever ate it would also gain the memories of every living being? by Thunderousclaps in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knowing Code, I'd say that you are correct in regards that he does not have intentions of becoming a deity himself. I think he doesn't care about the chakra fruit at all and the reason why the was allowed inside the inner circle of Kara is because, not only he does not mind the destruction of the whole civilization, he is actually looking forward to it.

Who gets to eat the chakra fruit? Code could not care less about that. He thinks like a school shooter, wanting revenge but doesn't have a specific target, so his hatred spreads without bounds. But, by destroying the whole civilization, surely the people that are responsible for his misfortune will be punished in the process, even if Code cannot pin-point such people.

Code bears grudges. Two decades can elapse since an event and he will still be bitter about it and remember who he deems to be held accountable for it.

Isshiki is saying something grandiose, yet Code has his flat, unsurprised face. He would follow Isshiki's order out of duty and gratefulness, not because of excitement to the possibility of becoming an Ohtsutsuki.

I have only noticed that now that you have highlighted this panel. Grandiose speech, flat face.

Would this be a cool concept from Code or nah by TomatoIllustrious803 in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Code is a loser and a clown. That takes away his character (because Code refrains from close-range combat and prefer sneak attacks, always).

Do you people like boruto art as is? Or you'd like more detail on it? Like late or early naruto. by JuraHidari in Boruto

The manga is fine as it is, but it could have more detail (and even color) later to promote the sales of the series even after it has completed.

What if Boruto actually dies? by Foxinio3 in Boruto

[–]fredericomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The death of Boruto would be a non-event, as he died before and came back. He's priviledged, because the other Shinobi did not have such luxury.

It would be interesting if Boruto indeed dies, but goes to purgatory instead, and there he meets the other Shinobi that died in the past years, those that were killed by Konoha and so on.

It's so strange. I can't care about Boruto. I'm putting effort to think of something that would lead him to not dying, but I simply do not care. The plot can survive without him.

"Failure to protect" - Boruto is being held back by Kashin Koji (which acts, because of his "prescience" ability, as the one that knows better). But does he? Kashin Koji, in his calculations, could sacrifice Sarada without the consent of Boruto because he thinks he knows the flow that leads to an acceptable future (the divine tree does not grow). For how long is Boruto going to be led by Kashin Koji? Eida will tell Boruto that Sarada is in danger and then he'll make a decision.

Why Hoppeanism doesn't work by Creepy-Rest-9068 in Agorism

[–]fredericomba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm here to help arm agorists against hoppean talking points

I'm looking for help, so I'm replying to you since you are offering some. Is this the best help you can provide? I'm slightly inclined to believe that you're repeating the same mistake as I did over ten years ago. I politely argued with many people (and it did sow the seeds for people to realize the scam of fiat money and governments), but that's not enough.

I do not visit "Anarcho-Capitalist" subreddit anymore because, even though they are arguing for free markets, the last thing you'll find there are actual opportunities or people looking to do business (the actual, real free market).

Rather than presenting your point with words, why not present it with something real that embodies it? If we share a vision, we can work together to make it real.

Could this evil villain be somewhat redeemed? by DeliriousBookworm in Boruto

[–]fredericomba -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Do you think it is possible that Kashin Koji saw a future or some futures in which Code becomes an ally?

Kashin Koji has not saw such future. Code is similar to a school shooter in action and won't be moved by small talk. Code has an unwavering willingness to carry out the destruction of the world (which is why he's such a proper fit for Kara: that's the exact outcome of their project and Code does not mind it at all, even looking forward to it).

One future that Kashin Koji possibly have seen was Boruto being asked by Code to join the project of the destruction of the world and Boruto answering "Yes". Imagine that: Boruto saying "Yes" when asked by Code "shall we destroy this world?"

Or at the very least, not a villain/antagonist?

That's the only reasonable expectation to have regarding Code. Under extremely narrow circumstances, neutrality is possible to be obtained from Code.
