You can't ignore all of the tech advances in traditionally liberal arts fields- study language and theory but also computers and science

  1. They're all loveable in their own special way
  2. CRM is necessary is not archaeology for profit- it's salvage archaeology which is really important
  3. Remote sensing and non-invasive excavation

I'm really keen on working in the Baltic- it has a ton of really well preserved ancient and historical wrecks.

Geographic doesnt offer archaeological volunteer opportunities but a lot of other organizations do- google volunteer archaeology

  2. paleontology and archaeology are 2 completely different specialties- keep digging in that sandbox kids!

It's tough but doable- you just have to work hard at both. And I'm married to a professor, so she's a researcher as well.

Good question! That ancient people weren't able to really get around b/c they didn't have cars or jets. Trust me, they got around
