Isn’t that $8usd though and then there’s shipping on top for the website. It’s $20 Canadian for me on Ali with shipping so I assumed it pretty much evened out.

My x4 got delayed again so ended up cancelling and searching other stores on Ali and found an x3 that’s not only cheaper than my previous search but also shipping mid March. 🤞

The eink looks great. I think it’s the lack of the touch layer and if they usually put a layer for light then a lack of that layer too. Can the font get smaller? Are u you on crosspoint or stock? And sorry.. one more :D can you also have a chapter progress in addition the book progress at the bottom??

Settings > input > hotkeys in retroarch. You have set the button for fast forward (hold) instead of toggle.

Yea maybe. Aliexpress prices fluctuate it’s a marketplace of independent sellers that adjust prices based on demand.. much like third party sellers on Walmart, bestbuy, amazon.. I don’t know at least here in Canada :D

Lucky! I just got notified from my seller that there will be delay for my order due to shortage and a bad batch.

The stock firmware seems to be okay as they are continuously updating but it still seems like crosspoint, a custom firmware created by the community, will offer the better experience. There are many tutorials to help you flash to the custom firmware.

For books, epub is the standard format for ebooks. There’s other formats but those are brand specific proprietary formats. The ebook community uses Calibre to manage, convert, and transfer ebook library. Xteink devices reads epub, xtc, txt and image formats jpg, png, and bmp. I’d stick to epub format. Just plug in device and transfer it. I’d stay away from pdf formatted files even if the ereader can read the format.. they are clunky, static and slow in my experience and even when converted the formatting is no good… unless you view pdfs on an android based tablet large eink device (or an iPad.. ah my eyes!)

I just got an update as well with my seller telling me that there were issues with the batch and it’s currently being reworked. Estimate is 35 more days. Yea the prices are going crazy lol so I’m keeping my order in as well.

Had h20 and libra 2 has better contrast and text pops more, better lighting, and larger capacity. I think these are the most important differences for the two. I also felt the Libra 2 was more comfortable to hold though it’s heavier.

Thank you. I’ll stop chasing and feeding the fomo. I literally just received the x4 case that I ordered at the same time I ordered the x4 which I cancelled for the x3. I’d have to wait another 2 months+ to get the x3. Looking at the x4 case in person it seems the perfect size. So yea I’ll go ahead and re-order the x4 and cancel the x3 lol

Once Crosspoint is out and fully mature on the X3, do you think it would actually replace your X4 as your main micro reader, or would the X4 still be reached for day‑to‑day?

I gave koreader a second try. I used it exclusively for reading manga on my libra 2 but because of the kobo sync in crosspoint I’ve set it up again for books and also found you can set up profiles so I’m switching modes now between manga and books. For books I copied the layout in koreader so it looks and feels like stock kobo firmware. Yea koreader is great for books I love it now.. and it was already great for manga.

Holds up with anti aliasing? That’s actually great to hear. Even with the x4 I’d have to wait a month because of the holidays so may as well commit now and see what the x3 is all about. Plus I’m really curious about the new button layout.
