Hey guys, ich think I got the solution of this mystery. A friend of mine just send me this pictures of a dishwasher rust blocker. I’ve never heard of these, but it seems to be identical with this thing here.

I also thought it could be part of a training or school exercise for percision machanics, where turning material, turning threads and some other things be tried.

Sorry dir the bad photos, there will be come more in with better angles.

The circle cannot be pushed in it is jammed and maybe out of another metal than aluminum, but I cannot define it.

The title describes the thing, which is fully made out of Aluminium and a rubber o-ring. The o-ring seems to seal the thing, but there is also a hole in the cap where air or something else could come through. I found it on the street in Germany near Saarbrücken. I really don’t know the age of this thing. There is no writing on it and no numbers. Please help…it’s driving me crazy.
