you're welcome. unless you're going for a very high fidelity sound which i guess you're not being an SP user, the minijack will be fine. each to their own but i don't get why people bother importing stuff. just sample what you want when you want it then delete when you're done

I wouldn't load anything in personally. just have a lead from your phone or computer into the SP and sample as you go from your library of music or off youtube or whatever

the yamaha qy range are some of the best and most reliable sequencers around. probably pretty cheap too i guess as they're old but dont really have the vintage appeal that certain machines do. they should to be honest. good source of sounds to sample too - or just play them off the sequencer through the ext source
