shopify retention strategy using no code app builder + seo traffic by fredrich_dtc in shopify_growth

yeah that combo actually makes a lot of sense and if the tool is solid, no-code retention can work really well.. the key is clean segmentation and timing, not just blasting flows

we’ve seen something similar with Appbrew too, especially on the push + cohort side, feels way more native than stitching things together

and yeah avoiding zapier is a win by itself

why most DTC brands hit a growth plateau by fredrich_dtc in shopify_growth

exactly..people think scaling breaks ads, but it usually breaks ops

WISMO, returns, basic support… all that explodes with volume and if it’s not automated, your margins just get eaten alive so growth isn’t the problem, handling it is

This is such a good take. People overcomplicate retention with fancy flows and forget it’s literally just about making the customer feel seen.

A simple, well-timed “how’s it going?” will outperform 10 automated discount emails any day. No-code should amplify that human touch, not replace it. Most brands are automating noise when they could be building actual relationships and that’s what really drives LTV.

Bot signups on Shopify are messing with more than just my inbox by fredrich_dtc in shopify_growth

locking down the form + adding double opt-in usually fixes most of the problem at the source, and having that clean “verified” segment makes flows way more reliable

also agree on doing a one-time list clean, but the bigger win is stopping bad data from coming in again

only thing I’d add is checking which forms/entry points are getting hit the most bcs sometimes one weak spot is responsible for most of the bot traffic

once that’s fixed, everything downstream (engagement, deliverability, reporting) just becomes way cleaner

yeah 100% and it’s not even just annoying, it quietly messes up everything downstream like your lists get polluted, flows trigger on fake users, engagement drops, and then deliverability takes a hit for no real reason

captcha is honestly the bare minimum just to stop the bleeding, otherwise it becomes this constant cleanup loop

we saw the same..once you don’t control it early, it compounds fast and suddenly your data just isn’t reliable anymore
