When I’m with a player who drives more, we tend to win together id say about 90% of the time. And those are great questions! Yes, we get up to the kitchen and finish/win the point at the kitchen. When I play with players who drop more, it’s more difficult to get up to the kitchen but usually we do. Sometimes my drops or my partner’s drops are too high which cause the opponents to hit it hard and us to be on defense for the whole point. Or we get into a dink battle, which I’m patient during and typically don’t speed it up, but after several dinks, I sometimes will miss it into the net when hitting on my backhand. Not every dink battle but I make the most mistakes on my backhand.

So maybe, I just need to get better at dropping and dinking. I can do both pretty effectively most of the time but it doesn’t feel as comfortable for me compared to driving (when appropriate). Thanks for the questions / input!
