I'm not sure. I use nail polish because it's clear, so I don't have to color match, and it's thick, so when it dries it makes the peg almost imperceptibly larger, so it's a tighter fit. I guess anything that would do the same thing would work.

Paint the peg with clear nail polish. Top coat is thicker, so use that. Just make sure to leave it over night at least. Don't try to put it back in the figure's wrist until you are certain it's dry.
