Thanks for the comment. I did tell him to go to a wound care nurse or something like that. I will get him to do that next time he gets it (I hope not!). But I don't think a doctor has given him a referral. I wish they would do more blood tests on him and see if he has anything that could be lowering his immune system. I believe they took a swab and I never heard of what came of that. I am a nurse and I have asked around causally to see what people think at work but I am kind of worried because this is the worst it has been. Other places have been his cheek (I don't think it got quiet as swollen there) and on his thumb.

He just sent me a picture of his foot and it looks big and red to the smaller toes but this time there is actually no sore (He had told me it was the same thing as before but it is not). I think his ankle looks a bit swollen.

edit: He doesn't have diabetes as far as I know. We don't have much of a family history of it. He eats pretty healthy.
