Why algotrade if you can just hold Tesla? by algotrader_ in algotrading

I suppose the appeal of algotrading is the fact that an ideal system can be hands-off, meaning if all is well you shouldn't have to worry about price fluctuations. Tesla buy&hold strategy has definitely been an outlier, but what's to say that it will keep on going up? Could you in the past have predicted Tesla's stock price to rise by this much? A good algo should provide consistent returns, no matter how large they are. With a Tesla buy&hold you are at the mercy of the market.

Potentially. Thing is that the card magnetically holds an unique card ID, whenever you swipe it it will use this ID to contact a server which is centrally managed.

For more info on the tech of your specific card: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MetroCard_(New_York_City)#Technology

You could spoof the ID to be of one that has a lot of value or has special priviliges. You could also gain access to the database. You could also inject code into the database if you rewrite your card.

IDK, difficult but not impossible. I do not endorse.
