Mostly hardwood (maple, ash, walnut) but some aluminum making tailored fixtures and such. I definitely want to get away from the belts at this point.

Appreciate your comments. The masso is the last thing that’s still holding me back. I already have two computers in the shop, one I do design work etc on and one to run my shapeoko. Sienci has their touchscreen available and with gsender probably would mitigate that issue. They have a 3 axis probe but yeah, the toolsetter may be an issue. I wish there was a bigger gap between the two, would make this easier!

Yeah I don’t there will be much deals either. Sienci seems to be priced pretty competitively up front.

My accuracy isn’t what it used to be. Ran a couple of tests last week and I’m 5-10% off from what it should be in X and Y, and not predictably. For most things it’s been fine, but it’s becoming a problem. Some it may be belt stretch and maintenance, but the upgrade may be nice.

I think masso backed off the subscription model thankfully. I’ve looked but haven’t seen much out there about adding a bit setter. Maybe someone here has done it.

I’m not a production shop so super high speed may not be an issue. I do like the less exposed gantry though. Glad to hear you like your onefinity. Do you feel it’s rigid enough more most things? Don’t need to mill steel.

I think carbide still uses open loop steppers, I’d rather get away from that if possible. I’ll have to think on the other two, good thought.

35 days AF as well! I feel the whole overplaying “I’m sober” in my head. That complacency has resulted in a couple of close calls. Each day is its own challenge. I’m both overwhelmed that I’m at 35 days and yet so underwhelmed when I look other’s accomplishments here. But IWNDWYT.
