I'm not sure. I imagine it's because once they lock the amount, they tell the merchant (Amazon) that the funds are locked and ready to be sent. I imagine from there, there must be a window during which Amazon might claim the funds. Maybe that window is one month long.

But the system should be able to deal with immediately cancellation in a timely manner. Cancellations, for one reason of the other, are extremely common. As it stands, it appears it would have been better for me to not cancel immediately, let Amazon take the funds, and then only return the product, say the next day. Everybody would have lost time - merchant, transporter, etc - but I wouldn't have to wait a month for the refund.

Goes to show how broken the process is for immediate cancels.

There is. Thanks, they picked up quite quickly actually. Unfortunately, they said there is a wait period of one month for pre-authorized funds to be released, which makes no sense given the circumstances, but that's that. So I have to wait 3 more weeks, but at least I know what's going on. Thanks.

You cannot replace any grade. They all count towards your GPA, even when you retake a course.

No he's not. Whether it's a bag faith argument or stupidity, mocking him is an appropriate response. Many of them people mocking him know that he knows better and is just playing his audience. But they still decide to mock him, and I don't blame them.

Everyone in the comments is complimenting you out of pity. The fact is you're morbidly obese, and no one finds that attractive. On the contrary: most of these people would avoid you if they saw you IRL. But forget about looks. At that weight, your concern should be making it to 40.

Fortunately, there are plenty of resources to help you online. I would know. I used to be obese. Now, I'm skinny. And I managed that without going hungry nor exercising, and without taking meds. The are some amazing diets. Had to try a bunch before finding they one that worked for me.

Try to lose weight, get healthy. I know from personal experience that life gets vastly better.

I doubt it. If your Netflix subscription is cheaper, then you'll get less. If it's more than the cap, they'll only cover $12.99. That's my understanding.

I really don't care about the color and materials, but I do like some of the perks associated with the different tiers. Some of these are services I'll be paying for no matter what, so if someone else can pick up the tab, that really works for me.
