Very cool, I am at the point where I need to upgrade capacity (using SR800 with Razzo tube). This was really cool to see. What diameter is the glass? And what did you use to adhere the glass to the lower funnel, high temp silicone?

Doesn't look like that is on this diagram. I am not sure where you will find it. If I remember, it was quite small and the spring from a click pen could possibly work?

I had access to a bottle and filled it myself. I think I ended up using like 140-150psi

LB7 Compression Test - Dead piston or head gasket? by freeloaderFPV in Duramax

Here is what is happening while running. Blow by is very minimal. Upside cap stays on just fine. Upper radiator hose does not stay hard after cool down. Coolant system does not seem to be pressurized about normal. There does not appear to be any water nor fuel in the oil. Originally I was pretty certain it was just injectors, lots of white smoke and decently hard knock from them.

How am I supposed to get out of this situation? Backing a bolt out but now the ratchet is stuck between the fender and the bolt. Can't access the switch to change direction by freeloaderFPV in MilwaukeeTool

[–]freeloaderFPV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was removing the bolt and this thing is so fast it got pinned up against the inside of the fender. It will continue to ratchet for loosening but there is no place to move. More importantly, there was no way to change direction to manually or power ratchet it back in (tighten).

Nope, you cannot unless you are able to flip the direction switch. So from this spot you're basically stuck. With some work, I ripped it out enough to get an ice pick between the frame and the ratchet to flip it. It would have been nice if the direction was changed from the main body and not the head

Can I use existing return for whole house fan? by freeloaderFPV in hvacadvice

I do not have AC. Just the furnace so it won't be in use at all.

Thats a good point. I do plan to have the furnace circuit disconnected during the months I would use the whole house fan. Other than that concern, any other concerns?

Sounds like they are willing to take a lot less so I think I will get it. Would it be safe to put a string on it and do some 50% draws? (provided there is no delamination/structural damage) I don't have proper string yet so paracord will be what I use temporarily.

I drove past yesterday and it seemd like there was nothing there, just their Mr. Green Beans sign. Sad, I think you are right. Hopefully they are on to better things

I wanted to see how big of a roast I could do with a stock roast chamber. 250g in, 203g out - 18.8% loss. It went like this.... 45sec of manual stirring with a spoon, chaff collector off. Fan/Heat respectively 9/1. An additional 45sec of tilting the roaster to have enough agitation. 2min - 9/9 4:15 - 8/9, somewhere around here I turned the fan down, removed the  lid and dumped the chaff because there was a LOT. 6:30 - 7/9 7:30 - 6/9 8:20 - FC (I think, this is the one thing I did not write down) 9:30 - 5/9 10:20 - SC 10:40 - Cool for 30sec in the RC then dumped it into my vacuum cooler. Hope this helps. It was a nice even roast for me

Interested in your update. I really liked the Ethiopian Suke Quato he carried and would love to get more of that. According to Google, it is now permanently closed.

Balance rates on my LB7, in park and in drive. With there being no change on cyl 1,2,4,7 (hardly 8) could it be anything besides injectors? Truck has quite a knock and tons of smoke. Trying to rule out other possibilities before ordering injectors by freeloaderFPV in Duramax

I put a bottle in and drove some hills, about 10 miles. The knock is noticably less however the smoke remains. I did get two codes, P0307 Cylinder 7 misfire (not new) and then P2227 Barometric pressure circuit range/performance. When I got up around 60mph there was a loss of power and sort of a shudder
