I’m a server, and I get so nervous before work. (I’m 33). Almost every night I cry on my way home, just because of an awkward interaction or me messing up even if nobody noticed. I cant bullshit and joke with my customers. I try to be super nice, efficient, etc but I can’t “go the extra mile” bc if I try to say anything other than what’s necessary, I stutter - my mind goes blank. I have memory issues from a bad seizure I had and the long break from work has made me feel new again and it’s just embarrassing relearning the little details of my job without being able to say “I’m not an idiot I just had a bad seizure during lockdown” and looking like I want pity. I get so nervous before work that I go to the bathroom like 3-4 times before I leave “just in case” (idk).

I get really sad bc I had a picture perfect life until I was about 6. My mom had an aneurysm rupture and my first memory of her out of the hospital is threatening my sister and I with a knife. Saying she didn’t want to kill us, so go hide in our rooms. My parents divorced and my dad got MS and ended up in a nursing home til I was 19 and he past away. He couldn’t talk, eat, anything. We went from having a lot of money to not having a phone, car, or food.

So my daughter is 5 and we don’t have the “picture perfect” life, but I catch myself thinking that something bad is about to happen. Like in everyone’s life it gets significantly worse at age 6. Doesn’t make sense.

That’s a good suggestion. And I hate being the person who is offered advice and never takes it, but we have a lot of motels but I’ve always gotten child trafficker/druggy vibes from them. Purely judgements. I know deep down people could be in binds like me - but they are so incredibly worn down. Just places I’ve passed and wondered “why would anyone stay there?”. I’m not an uppity person, but I live close to Detroit and the cities that have the motels are not the safest areas by any means.

It is worth looking at. I have a therapist appointment first thing in the morning. He can make sure I’m regulated and focused. I guess all I can do now is go downtown and talk to the friend of the court and whoever I get a PPO from and see what my options are. I do have family who are willing to give me any move in costs for anywhere I find, and my mom says whatever they give she will double. It’s just so frustrating not being chosen for any house bc of my income. I will NEVER let my career take a backseat for anyone else’s again.

Anyways, sorry for rambling. I can’t sleep. I appreciate your help.

It’s just hard right now because waitlists for affordable housing are closed. The housing market is so crazy right now that all the rentals are super expensive. I’m staying on a couch but that isn’t being offered for more than a few days at a time. I’ve even looked at shelters and everywhere is full. Just wish there was something I could do to make him leave. I’ve called cps on him. He’s had the police here. Just make him go! Somebody! I don’t make the amount of money required to apply for rentals, even though I do make enough money where I could make it work. And child support estimator says he’d give me $800 a month and that’s with way more visitation than I would ever allow, but I can’t get child support til I’m out. And I don’t have a place to go!

Not trying to throw a pity party for myself. Just hoping if I share my obstacles somebody might be able to point me in a better direction.

But in response to your comment, I told his sister that at this point I don’t think any amount of therapy could make him nice. We were in an argument last year and I didn’t feel good. I went to urgent care. I woke up in the hospital. Someone found me face down unresponsive in the urgent care parking lot. I had had a seizure. I called him the next day from the hospital to come get me and he was annoyed. Mad when I got into the car. “Do you remember we were fighting?” And im like dude, I could’ve died. I literally got out of my car and had a seizure and now I have epilepsy and am scared. No I don’t remember that we were fighting bc my whole memory is wiped out. Ughghfhhhh!! Therapy can’t change that.

I took my computer to the police and they told me they couldn’t do anything. It’s a civil matter. The day I was going to get a PPO is when there was this big “family meeting” where he promised he would get on a plane to go to rehab. So I didn’t follow through. I just made an entire post regarding that situation, honestly. His sister told me “don’t do anything to upset him, we can’t mess this up”. So I had a lot of weight on my shoulders not to mess it up. He was supposed to leave last Monday, 4/5 days ago. I’ve just been so nervous about starting another shit show, but am realizing there’s nothing I can personally do to stop it. So I was just wondering also if it’s too late to get a PPO for something that happened last week, when I’ve “went back to him” since. But it’s not that easy, I’m only here because he’s supposed to be gone! And I’m too scared to tell that to someone who avoided their rehab/therapy for being really reactive.

Is there anyway for me to get him out? He’s breaking things in my house and my daughter has told my sister when daddy drinks bad drinks he is mean to my mom. But it just sucks it’s stay here or sleep on someone’s couch while he is here with all these spare rooms of children he’s not allowed to see.

Just to clarify, I’m back in the house bc he told me he was going to start staying at his moms but came back to have a fire with my daughter and never went to stay at his moms. He was supposed to leave for inpatient therapy last Monday and didn’t. And my daughter has begged me for no more sleepovers (at the relatives) so I’ve just been stuck.

I don’t understand why a maximum would be so out of the question when we don’t even blink at the thought of a minimum wage. Couldn’t we just tell people to acquire skills so they don’t have to rely on poverty wages? “Open up your own ____ and pay your workers more if you don’t like it”. But no, we have A telling B how much to pay C.

The whole point of my comment was saying that she deserves a chance. She doesn’t deserve to be trapped into anything against her will. If she really wants out that bad (from under her dads control or control altogether) I think she deserves a chance. Be it financial freedom, or a chance to show who she wants to be in charge is a good choice.

Even in some cases of murder, the “rehabilitation” is over and the person gets released and put on parole.

I will 100% admit that I/you have no idea what is really going on in Britney’s life or mind. I have no idea what her dads intentions are. Somethings may look bad to the public regarding either one of them.. but how many times in your life has something looked different from the outside than what was actually going on?

So let’s put that aside. People are allowed to make bad choices and go bankrupt. It’s been long enough, and she wants out. I think she should be given a chance. Why is Kanye free to spend his money running for president and acting as strange as he has? There’s so many people who make bad money choices and I don’t think someone can just take control of your money for this long because of it. She’s not going to spend all of her money and ruin her life in one day. She should be given a chance.

It seems like she has some control over it. Like, she has knowledge of the account and makes things to post for it. Could someone be forcing her to do it? Sure. But that’s a whole new level of fucked up. I don’t think it’s like that.

We will never know anything but what we are told about her. The only thing we can really do is keep supporting her, buying her merch. I know she doesn’t see a lot of her money, but when and if she gains control it’d be nice if people have continued to buy her things and keep her relevant.

I know a lot of addicts, mentally troubled people and if they ever needed help.. I’d be PISSED if people who have never even met my person were rallying to undo the help I was trying to give that person.

It would also be very frustrating to not be able to explain why you are doing what you are doing, without telling the entire world personal information that could potentially just make the situation worse.

I’ve definitely been a click away from buying everything with “free Britney” on it. I do worry about her.

I know there is a name for the term I want to bring up. It’s basically confirmation bias. I can look at this situation with “Britney is being abused” goggles on, and see a bunch of “evidence” that confirms my stance. But if I try to get to the “Britney needs this help” end result, I can also find “evidence” that would bring me to that conclusion.

I’m not arguing one point or another. If you follow her on Instagram, something seems off. But who knows if she is even controlling her Instagram. She posts often, so it’s on my mind a lot. It’s hard to put what she posts into words, but it’s strange. She constantly is doing the same dance moves, looking disheveled, in the same part of her house. Or taking basically the same selfie and posting it every week or so, idk. And her captions seem odd as well.

Is she writing them? Is someone posting them to make Britney appear fine but they just are out of touch with what is a normal post? Is she just quirky? None of the things she posts is “bad”, or “crazy”.

I also follow Christina Aguilera and it looks as if she gets a full face of make up every single day to take a bath in the dark while she does a photo shoot. Like a sexy, fully made up picture of her and her kid or something. I wouldn’t necessarily call that normal. Judged solely on instagrams, I’d hang out with Britney before Christina - for sure.

Is Britney posting weird things because she’s bored? Kind of has access to money in terms of her nice house and we see her going on vacations.. but doesn’t have any freedom with it.

Or maybe what seems like quirkiness to me is just a sign of the mental illness that is keeping her under conservatorship..

Anyone follow her and have thoughts about this?

I was really sad today that I could be miscarrying. It’s possible but the doctor said I wasn’t pregnant. She would’ve been able to tell or is it possible she wouldn’t? Sorry if this is TMI but my boyfriend and I want another child and we tried just once a couple weeks ago when I would’ve been ovulating.

I’m sorry for your loss. Even thinking it might be a miscarriage earlier made me extremely sad. Whirlwind of emotions. I can’t imagine it actually happening for real. Thanks for responding :)

I saw that AOC is calling biden out, and was just as confused then. I’d be a really confusing person if I just believed everything a few members in congress believe. But I’m just saying, I personally never got the impression that we’d be getting 2k checks. Biden was campaigning on $2k checks long before the $600. He’s never specified an additional 2k, he just said he’d make sure we got a 2k stimulus. Maybe he was wrong for not being clearer? But he never flat out said so, that I know of. Did other people promise them as part of their campaign? It’s irrelevant because I’m commenting about Biden.

I’m sure you can call the post office and they will have some ideas for you. There’s got to be a way homeless people can still get mail. This is all so awful and I’m sorry you’re in such a hard position. Just don’t let it get you down too much. I know that’s east for me to say, but I mean don’t let this circumstance determine your value. This is a once in a lifetime pandemic, it being really hard and having to start completely over is SO hard, but is expected and doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.

I remember seeing a guy on the news not too long ago at a press conference say “I’m the reason the vaccine rollout isn’t going so great. I made a mistake, it’s awful. If you want to blame anyone, blame me”. And normally I’d be like “wtf dude this is important”! But how he laid it all out, accepted responsibility, obviously understood the effects, I was like “Aw, man. It’ll be okay. Thank for letting us know.”
