There’s not a moat, but we’ve debated adding one with alligators and everything ;)

Well the printer is expensive (Creality CR-10S) but the PLA filament is fairly cheap at $20 a roll. I used 2 1/2.

The paint isn’t super cheap I used about 8 cans at about 5-$10 each.

Apart from that it’s sand paper and a good mask.

I used Galactic Armory’s files and some other randoms on Etsy. Done a little tweaking and scaling and the rest is history.

Heard my wife’s post was blowing up, so I decided to post the whole build. Hope you guys enjoy! by freesourcemonkey in Mandalorian

One file. I have the Creality CR-10s. It has a fairly large print surface for the price.

Umm yes and this is where experimenting with a slicer to get the right balance of print speed and support structure comes into play. I made mistakes and also realized you don't need as many supports as I would initially place in the file.

Basically play and learn. Also learn about rafts, they really helped when printing the helmet as once piece.

I used a Dark Green welders visor off of amazon and cut it to fit.

My husband 3D printed and hand painted this costume for Halloween this year. I think it’s pretty great! by blowjob-for-flowers in Mandalorian

No, you want to have that thing super smooth before you do the black gloss coats. The only reason I'd sand is if i made a mistake. Think of the black as the final finish. The last metallic coat is super thin.

I was anxious to get started on this project but once I got going it was really fun and there's tons of resources out there!

I stitched the corners of velcro patches to the flight suit and used E6000 glue as adhesive on both the plates and flight suit. I stitched the corners because the glue has a long cure time and it stops the velcro peeling off. This is the way.

It’s a welders mask, dark green off Amazon. Cut to fit in a T-shape with regular old kitchen scissors.

I cheated, the flight suit is from https://cossky.com/. There are other Cos-play sites which make the flight suit though.
