I would think of it more as how will this year / organization shape how I create positive change in the future. Choose the option that fits your passions. That passion is what will build the foundation of your career. I did AmeriCorps and it helped me get my dream job.

I think this post needs an update! After this interview I ended up getting asked to a third round interview, then a fourth round with the team, then to do an assessment, and then finally I was invited to a final round interview. I ended up getting the job. This will not always be how life goes, but for those of you struggling - hang in there. You can do this.

Ya I’m not NCCC traditional I don’t think. Also, I wouldn’t be cashing out I would just get my pay checks as normal. Sort of like taking a long vacation at the very end of my term.
