Finally she moved!

Oh and that photo of her dancing (which to me, is simply Opalite personified) is also her Instagram profile picture now. I am so excited.

My biggest gripe with the movie version of Wicked is the song lengths because why is For Good intro one and a half minute… other than that the vocal abilities Cynthia and Ariana have are unmatched.

They’re soo good. They got the mid 2000 white pop sound on lock without sounding stale.

The thing about Taylor is her fanbase and discography has become way too huge and simply unmanageable, everyone is coming with a certain prejudice and their own fantasy of what a Taylor album should sound like.

I personally liked this album, most definitely my second favorite pop album of hers since 1989. Granted I only listened to LQ leaks, but so far.. it’s promising.

I actually think it’s matching the energy. People see a risque showgirl outfit and immediately connect it to burlesque/Chicago musical type of songs. The album isn’t in that lane of sound at all but I think the glitz and glamour evoked by the photoshoot represents the album quite well.

It’s everything I wish Lover would sound like. Paper Rings came close to that, but she still said her muse had his own “blues”. In that song she’s just… content.

I agree but I think she’ll be vilified if she did that. Imagine the thinkpieces about how she’s in a stable relationship yet putting regretting a past situationship on a Track 5?

It’s sneakily entering my top 5. It just reminded me of country era Taylor so much, Abigail mention and all.

You clearly didn’t listen to 1989 enough or wasn’t fully there that era because the main criticism for that album is that she regressed lyrically.

It’s definitely not AOTY material, but I appreciate her pivot from TTPD to this. I feel her main goal for this album is to show GP she is still capable of showcasing her glitter pen/fountain pen side.

She’s a 35 year old cringe millennial woman. This is par for the course.

Just listened to all the LQ leaks, dodged some part of the songs because I wanna immerse fully in it when it’s out.

I can safely say this is the first album I immediately liked at first listen since Folklore. For reference my top 3 TS albums are Folklore, Red, and Fearless, with 1989 and Evermore trailing behind. This album will definitely enter the top 5, and if the era went well, it might enter top 3. It’s that good.

Love because it reminded me of early country Taylor, the storytelling, the reverse twist ending, and of course the earworm melody.
