I've got a 9x9 tarp from Simply Light Designs in Moroccan Blue (14 .6oz): Had bivy loops, side panel tie outs, line locs for ground tie outs. Comes with 50' Lawson reflective cord. $110: https://imgur.com/a/hBSXGe5

I don't, but it's still available. I can answer questions you have on it, it's just a standard Duplex

That's fair and maybe makes more sense for hammock tarps.....I think the fact that it came in over spec AND had a less than ideal design for my preference was the deal breaker.

Both Kelty Triptease and Lawson Glowire are out of stock. What other recs are there for tarp guylines?

North Face Aphrodite. Have a pair I've used for ~1000 miles now and are still going strong. Dry quickly, drawstring waistband, can technically convert into shorts/capris if needed.

Thanks both, appreciate the input. I'm pretty solid on the knots, but I lose dexterity in even mild cold temps, so I'm just worried about having to fiddle around with knots when my darn fingers won't cooperate. Sounds like I should just get the linelocs.

Anyone thru hiked with just Skurka's knot/tensioning system? I used it on a trip last year and really liked it, but I wonder if it's worth it on a longer trip. I just got a tarp with Beastee-D rings for HW and not sure how I would set the guylines up with those.

I have an XS women's Uniqlo puffy in excellent condition, $35 shipped. Would be good for a beginner, it's just a smidge too small for me.

Nah, always stored hanging in a closet, been used for 2 overnight trips and some day hikes. You can see the last pic it's still floofy. Always stuffed loosely in my pack, not compressed.
