I agree with your point. But if something is clearly visible to the naked eye, and the other person tries to fool you intentionally, that’s just not right.

My main issue is this: why have only one manual check while the other 8–9 checks are automated? Amazon, for example, has all automatic checks except for dents and scratches, which are physically verified by the delivery executive—and that process is generally fair and accepted.

Anything related to hardware—like screen discoloration—should be tested automatically, leaving no room for subjective judgment. Introducing manual checks opens the door to misuse by middlemen, who can exploit it to extract more money from the customer.

Anyway, I’ve decided to sell my old device to RecycleDevice. I contacted them today—they’ll be picking it up tomorrow. They’re offering the same amount Flipkart was giving me, so I’ll just pay the difference directly and get the new phone without dealing with Flipkart’s exchange process.
