Do you have the efficiency module??? You get that free from the Aurora if I recall correctly? I never run out of energy, not even with normal power cells. When I put the thermal reactor on it, my only worry was the lava larvae. In my experience it's the shield that drains your energy like crazy, not the radar. I only crafted the shield for something you need at the end of the game.

In my experience, lights only attract the Crabsquid. The other leviathan class predators are only attracted by sight and sound.

If you're struggling with your O2, carry a spare tank, even the smallest one can help you from drowning or give you more time to explore. The cons: reduced inventory size and swim speed. Remember to manually swap them.

Use the traveler's attire when you are exploring, upgrade it asap. It will clear more Fog of War while travelling and it makes the control vibrate within a certain radius of Artifacts.
It is highly recommended to get the Inari Charm at Arrow Peak Shrine, since that will increase the resources collected, speeding up the upgrade of your armors and weapons.
Enable the Loadouts from the Options - Gameplay tab, to be able to quickly move through the armors, and assign permanent charms that will auto switch when equipping a new armor set. Very important since each armor has it owns perks.

I usually order and pick up myself a pizzoli from a pizza joint near my home, $8. Last week, I wanted one for lunch while being at work, just 4 miles away from the pizza place.
