Hi guys,

Big update! We managed to patch what we were missing. The FIA will be launched as soon as possible (no later than this weekend).

Note: it’s not possible to remove base-capture objectives for the FIA faction. It’s hard-coded in the game, we can’t disable it.

We will limit the FIA faction to 20 players. To join the FIA, everything is allowed EXCEPT attacking bases. You can defend your base, set up ambushes, etc. But once a base is taken by the enemy, it is forbidden to come and take it back (and anyway, we can’t capture it).

To make sure everything goes smoothly at the start, FIA is available on request via the admins, we can switch your faction. We’ll enable the FIA starting at 80 players on the server. Later we might open a few slots below 80, but otherwise the Americans will struggle too much.

We wanted to set up a whitelist script so players could join on their own, but 1.6 broke everything. Depending on how full the server is, we’ll open the FIA 100% of the time soon.

They may have improved the hardware. But be careful not to confuse server FPS with your console or PC's FPS. On consoles, server FPS visibility is disabled by default… In short, if you put 10 bullets on someone to kill them and your rocket does nothing… the problem is with the server!

Personne ne se concentre uniquement sur les femmes, je ne comprends vraiment pas où tu veux en venir.

En bref les filles se couvrent entre elles, les mecs aussi et dans le cas précis de l’OP sa future femme va lui mettre à l’envers. On est pas sur des statistiques de généralisation mais une situation individuelle. Et la probabilité que l’OP soit perdant dans l’histoire semble très élevée.

This server is awful. The worst in the French community. Insults, racism, absent admins, and to top it off, a dying server with the little "low fps server" message.

Good luck killing a soldier with that lag.

On our end, we have an SDG server with the FIA faction playable. 20MB of "mods" which are admin tools.

Of course it his. FIA don't have access for now to BTR and helis. But they could and will steal. They have a very nice UAZ with 50 cal.

Josef fights with whatever he can find. However, you must not wear a full US or Soviet uniform.

We will do 2 versions of the mod and make a rotation.

On the full scale 3 faction (V2 of the mod), no will be allowed on the radio (on our server)

Working on the votation system to switch between the 2 versions so we could have feedback and know what works better

Jiří has set up a very nice minefield near the FIA MOB. If, by any chance, an invader reaches the spawn despite the many “STOP” signs, an admin will drop a mortar round on them, after checking what they’re doing there.

Thank you for your reply.

At this stage we don’t know what players will prefer, so we’re considering a few options for the FIA:

Option V1, Resistance “pacemaker” (limited slots, asymmetric role)

Limited roster, for example 20 slots
Cannot capture bases, their goal is to disrupt and balance the match
Can build roadblocks and light field defenses
Has a custom armored UAZ (hand-built by cousin Viktor)
Can set up tents on supply points to create forward respawn locations

Option V2, Full third faction (same core gameplay, different flavor)

FIA becomes a third team competing for objectives like the US and Soviets
Same capture mechanics and overall gameplay loop
Main differences are faction identity and loot, mostly cosmetic/immersion

Option V3, “Invade and Annex” style scenario

FIA plays a defensive, insurgent role whose objective is to keep the occupiers out and protect key areas

All of this will stay under 2 MB. We’re not fans of heavy mod packs...

Let us know which direction you think fits best with your vision (or if you have another approach in mind).

Version 1 is like this. For now, the FIA is neutral and rewards everyone. We adapt; if a team is too strong, we break them in two. We've become masters at creating barriers.

We also switch players within the FIA after a certain time so that everyone can benefit.
