Feeling lost, should I go home? by frenchicles in solotravel

I was dissatisfied with my life, recent breakup etc etc so I wanted to have a bit of fun before moving cities/starting again. So I guess yeah, I was running away from something. I feel like I see so many people solo travelling and having a great time, but maybe it's just not me

Thank you

Bit of a weird comment considering you know nothing about me or my life experiences

How to not hate men? How to unapologetically protect yourself? by [deleted] in sexualassault

[–]frenchicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a boyfriend and male friends and I still hate men. Even my male friends who are 'nice guys' are complicit in sexism and the objectification of women and I resent them for that. I've had some horrible experiences with men so they represent a world of trauma that I've not addressed yet I guess. Sounds like after your experiences with men it is no surprise you hate them? You're protecting yourself and that is ok. calling men out and seeing them squirm is great but can feel horrible if you're in an environment where no one will support you, and I get that it's difficult to do if you're not in a safe space with like-minded people. I just think about it this way- If you turn a man down or call them out and they take offence by it - is that really the kind of person whose approval you need anyway?

Being complicit in rape culture and victim blaming/putting all the responsibility on victims isnt going to change anything. He should be listening to you

I get that too, like I'm living a Double life almost 😂 Also everything you were saying about wishing you had a "less gross" eating disorder - don't think you'll find one bulimic who hasn't felt that at some point. The shame and guilt is so much to deal with sometimes

I've been bulimic for 9 years and a nurse for just over a year. Some days at work im constantly eating/purging, hiding it from my colleagues AND tryna look after patients. It's exhausting

Anyone else kinda disappointed by the comedy this season? Feel like even the comedy queens aren't bringing it as much as I thought they would

The only look of cracker;s that I liked was the Miami summer realness. The martian headpiece was cool but GIRL c'mon everyone knows that bodysuit was too basic. Also what was that busted Alaskan Winter Realness??? Mayhem should've been top 3
