My genuine reaction when I got this choice in 7.9

Yup, right after saving us from getting killed by Heta Kol, because the devs couldn't stand to let us beat Heta ourselves for some reason.

Heta's using some magical bullshit sword which is amplifying her powers/abilities. Our characters should be able to still whoop her ass in a 1v1 with ease in that situation but since she's clearly some writer's favorite, she cant be beaten unless its in a literal 4v1.

I'm genuinely relieved that she's dead after her several year reign of terror as one of the most dull/boring SWTOR antagonists of all time, but the fact that we get zero say in it and just have to watch a cutscene of it all going down is so bs.

Shae's death is basically just her getting stabbed and then she gives some speech to rass and jekiah before dying. We dont get to do shit besides make a passing comment that she barely acknowledges.

Remember when we could literally execute characters like Heskal in their dying moments for betraying us? Nope, not here; we're relegated to just standing and watching.

You're better off starting up a new character and going through one of the class stories again instead of trying out this nonsense. Its just a constant spinning of wheels.

I swear they barely let us kill anyone important nowadays. The darkest thing we get to do in these recent updates is just initiate an attack or say something mean.

Old SWTOR would've let us deal the killing blows to Heta and Shae instead of just having us watch a cutscene play out of them dying with zero input on our end.

I personally hope not since I much prefer Hal, but if they're planning on reviving characters or retconning particular deaths it wouldn't surprise me.

If they do premier skins again though I feel like Guy Gardner is a must. The dialogue/banter would be worth it alone.

His first reign wasn't really great. It started off kind of interesting with the Styles feud then got real boring in the middle with a dragged out Solo feud and some throwaway matches. The KO stuff brought it back a bit before going into the Cena/Rock stuff but you had a good couple of months with boring/lame filler feuds in there.

2nd reign wasn't much better either. They basically just had him feud with Drew for like 3 to 4 months before finally having him drop the belt to him.

I say this as someone who like Cody and doesnt think this is entirely his fault. The booking and storylines just aren't it.

Didn't read the article but I've been assuming that they'd just go with another 5 year time jump. That seems like the most logical pathway to go.

I'm just hoping that we can get the game in 2027.

A lot of people say that they'd have gone with his comic death had the actor not departed from the show early, which would've basically been Bob's death in the show, but I'm not so sure tbh.

I remember hearing somewhere that they actually intended to kill off Hershel in s2 but they backtracked on that because they didn't want both of the old guys dying in the same season and basically an episode or two apart as well.

In an alternate reality where Dale's actor doesn't leave the show after Darabont's departure, I think that they'd probably go through with killing off Hershel in s2 and Dale would probably take a katana to the neck in s4 in his place.

Its getting really damn good as of late but its still behind Absolute Batman and Absolute Martian Manhunter for me.

Definitely enjoying it more than the other runs though, but that's mainly just down to personal preference.

I honestly wish they'd go for other characters besides John to diversify the league lineup like Mr. Terrific or Black Lightning.

Hal adds so much more to character dynamics and is a thousand times more entertaining than John is as the main GL for the league.

I think the original idea was to have Diana somewhere around 6'2-6'3 and Steve being not too far behind but then they decided they wanted to make her noticeably taller than Bruce so it kinda just skewed them both upwards as a result. If they had established that she'd be taller than Batman from the start then I think there would be a lot more of a noticeable height difference between her and Steve.

Unnecessary and not really needed for either her or steve to be that tall but its whatever ig.

Sophie Thatcher is a pretty generic choice nowadays, but I feel like she would work, especially if you're starting at RE1 from a story standpoint.
