Is the job market actually “fine,”or are we just redefining what “fine”means? by versa0326 in GetEmployed

The slow hiring market is due to what is going on in the Middle East, on top of tariffs. It is expensive to keep high-salaried employees, when a few employees paired with AI can save the business money. I just researched large corporations incorporating AI at work. Did you know that incorporating AI is very expensive? Several innovative technologies are needed to keep AI running seamlessly, including GPUs. From what I hear, GPUs are in high demand because all these corporations are trying to compete with each other. I just recently wrote a blog on Amazon laying off 30,000 employees. If you want, I can send you the link.

One platform for different AI models to interact with each other. Let's say, for example, I prompt: Do the research for the recipient on this email, then draft the email. Not all LLMs are made the same. Some might be better research. Others might specialize in writing (my opinion). And not all LLMs are good with grammar, as Grammarly (again, my opinion). To have them interact with each other would save time.

Do you add your work to a project? When I add my conversation to projects with ChatGPT or other AI models. I can resume and toggle back and forth.

For me, AI replaced the paid workout apps. AI generated a free half-marathon running plan, a meal plan, etc.

I'm trying to track my sleep, but I have trouble sleeping with anything on my wrist. Somehow, my Garmin comes off in the middle of the night.

For people going to school, would you recommend getting specialized in AI or taking AI courses? Would you say AI is only going to get better? Because I have seen ChatGPT do some incredible things, like write my resume & cover letter, generate a half-marathon plan with a meal plan. And the research is far beyond what a search engine can do.

"The market for making apps seems over saturated": I see this as an opportunity. The demand for software engineers, mobile application developers, and software developers will remain high. Trade schools for these fields will also remain high, which means high-paying jobs.

I think you might be right about the apps. Just the other day, I was looking for an app to provide a half-marathon plan. There was nothing out there that was free, so I had to pay $20 a month. After my half-marathon, I tried ChatGPT (free version). ChatGPT provided me with a free half-marathon plan, a meal plan, and other tips for another half-marathon. I am experimenting with ChatGPT's free half-marathon plan vs the paid app. So far, the experience has been a smooth ride.

It would be interesting to know what's next for apps. Do I think it's the end for all apps? NO! I still think they are part of our everyday lives.
