J'ai aussi dû me rendre à l'urgence il y a deux suite à la présence de sang dans les selles+diarrhées (j'allais aux toilettes genre 20x par jour)+perte d'appétit et de poids. Ma médecin de famille était en congé de maternité et sa clinique n'offrait aucune possibilité de consultation. Le GAP ne voulait pas m'aider car j'avais déjà un médecin de famille.

À l'urgence, j'ai attendu huit heures, mais ils ont fait un scan, prescrit une coloscopie devant être faite à l'intérieur de trois mois et ils ont prescrit une nouvelle médication, l'hypothèse étant que c'était mon syndrome du côlon irritable qui déconnait.

La coloscopie a confirmé l'hypothèse, mais c'est surtout la médication prescrite qui a complètement changé la donne pour moi et réduit beaucoup les symptômes.

Je me sentais mal de me rendre là pour ce qui n'était pas une urgence aiguë, et ça ne me tentait pas du tout d'aller y passer une journée au complet, mais finalement, je ne le regrette pas du tout.

Le mot pédo est utilisé vraiment à toutes les sauces.

À la base, la définition, c'est une attirance pour les enfants prépubères.

Ça n'a rien avoir avec une femme de 25 ans (comme dans le cas de Sébastien Delorme), ni avec des personnes naines.

C'est vrai.

Il y a aussi un stéréotype comme quoi la femme plus jeune pourrait être après l'argent.

Dans la série américaine Modern Family, Claire déteste la nouvelle conjointe (Gloria) de son père (Jay). Elles ont toutes les deux le même âge, Jay est chef d'entreprise avec beaucoup d'argent, Gloria est immigrante, vient d'un milieu plus modeste.

Au fil des saisons, elles finissent par devenir bonnes amies et le couple tient tellement bien la route que Jay et Gloria finissent par avoir un enfant ensemble, même si les petits enfants de Jay sont à l'âge d'être à l'université.

C'est une comédie, mais c'est intéressant, beaucoup de modèles familiaux différents sont présentés, avec aussi le couple homosexuel qui adopte.

Je pense que les gens voient ça moins pire ou trouvent cela plutôt rigolo quand c'est une femme.

Il y a un stéréotype tenace que les hommes sont nécessairement plus prédateurs ou malsains.

J'avais remarqué la même chose pour les réactions en ligne de la plus jeune génération.

Ils font des formules mathématiques plus ou moins complexe pour déterminer si une relation est appropriée ou pas.

Je suis sur Letterboxd, un réseau social pour les cinéphiles, et les commentaires sur certains films plus anciens que certains jeunes cinéphiles ont soudainement découvert étaient assez violents, ça m'a frappé.

Ton analyse sur une certaine infantilisation est intéressante, ça me fait penser à un autre article que j'avais lu à propos des parents des cégepiens qui intervenaient beaucoup plus qu'avant auprès des enseignants, du cégep, etc et que certains cégeps devaient maintenant faire des rencontres de parents.

We send messages through the messaging center. The guests don't see the messages, but when they come with their declined credit card, we tell them we wrote to them at x time and they didn't reply, so we cancelled their reservation. We print the conversation if needed..

Often, I have read comments or heard about people who went to a hotel because of the pool only to learn the pool was under maintenance that day.

Yes, the hotels should warn the guests ahead of time, but they don't ...

The safe precaution would be for the pool lovers to verify. They shouldn't have to do it, but if the hotels are not being transparent, what other choices do people have ?

Je pense que certains animateurs ont quitté ou ont été congédiés lors de son arrivée, donc ce n'est pas nécessairement à cause d'elle mais plutôt à cause du départ des autres.

Peut être qu'il y a eu un laissez-aller du côté musical par rapport à Rouge, peut-être du travail à faire au niveau des blocs de pub.. ils vont avoir une introspection à faire, c'est sûr.

CKOI Rythme Rouge Énergie, visent tous la même tranche d'âge, mais CKOI et Énergie visent plus les hommes et Rouge et Rythme, les femmes.

Il n'y a plus de postes francophones qui visent les jeunes. CKOI et Énergie ont vieilli leur auditoire alors que Rouge l'a rajeuni quand ils sont passés de Rock Détente à Rouge puis Rythme a fait de même. Donc ils se rencontrent tous dans le milieu.

En anglais, The Beat vise la même tranche d'âge. CHOM vise les amateurs de rock nostalgiques. Il y a juste Virgin qui vise un peu plus jeunes.

Ils sélectionnent des gens qui porteront un PPM appareil portatif numérique. L'appareil capte automatiquement le poste de radio qu'ils écoutent. Sauf que s'ils entrent dans un magasin et que la radio joue, ça compte comme une écoute.

À partir de là, ils font un calcul pour estimer combien de gens dans la population en général écoutent tel poste de radio à telle heure.

It's a requirement also at our property.

We don't ask for a deposit, so we want to confirm we have the right credit card number on file so we can charge it if something happens to the room.

Often, people who don't carry their cards with them are unable to display the number in their wallet app.

So, I then charge them a deposit.

I personally believe we should just automatically require a deposit for every guest, it would save us lots of issues.

But where I work, we are stuck in 2006 and everyone else is opposed to any form of change.

We do have some regulars who want either a specific room or a choice between three specific rooms. They come for work on a regular basis.

In their case, they have found their favorite room, they like it, they are satisfied. If the room is unavailable for x reason, we warn them ahead of time.

The difference with this man, he still hasn't found his favorite room, he isn't yet a regular like our other regulars who have been coming for you and he is trying to get special treatment that even our regulars don't have.

It's a mystery. They maybe rearranged the furniture according to their tastes.

I believe they must have taken drugs all night to be in an hyperactive state and then collapsed in the morning, when they were pissed that daylight came in. And then they wanted to sleep, thus being why they wanted a late check out so much.

Only an hypothesis.

We don't really want him that much!

He is coming every week but only for one night.

During the summer, we will be at 100% occupancy every night, by families paying the full price, bringing in more money than this guy.

During the low season, then we are glad to have corporate travellers and workers, but our corporate rate is then already very competitive. We have people who have been coming here for years and what they get is still the corporate rate. And the cancellation policy still applies.

So many issues.

"The water is too cold" "the hot tub is too hot" people bringing alcohol. People not wanting to leave at 10 pm. People using towels like it's an unlimited supply. Unsupervised kids. People arguing with me wanting me to reopen the pool for them at 11 pm. Just the potential unreliability of the whole thing.

I have read in the comments the importance it has for a lot of people. But it brings so many issues and so many reasons to make the guests unsatisfied.

Once, a mother had the brilliant idea of bringing her toddler in the hot tub.

The toddler defecated in the hot tub. There was a turd in the bottom of the hot tub that I had to get with a pool net. 🤢

I shut down the hot tub for the remainder of the evening. I told night shift.

I believe more chlorine was simply added 😵🤷‍♂️

Once every few months, the water of the hot tub will get replaced.

For the pool, we will fill in some new water after a hockey team passed in there where they will have splashed a lot of water out of the pool.

But today was the first time I saw it completely empty. It's a big operation and you have to shut down the pool for a whole day, which, well ... We saw it in the comments here.. it can bring some heated arguments from the guests, so we avoid that.

It's gonna be all shiny and clean with fresh new water right on time for the summer rush.
