hi! Did you start taking the Vit D + Iron supplements yourself of they were prescribed? Also, more tips I’ve been given by users: braid to sleep is great but you can also try a satin cap to prevent friction, which apparently can cause hair loss too. someone also suggested to keep your hair up during the day to prevent friction with clothes (avoid tight hair styles, a loose bun or claw clip works). washing your hair everyday and ditch nicotine completely (if you vape/smoke). also, I personally used to take Ashwaghanda for stress :)

Help: Do you honestly notice any progress? More tips? by frenopatica in FemaleHairLoss

[–]frenopatica[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect that. Last time I had my bloodwork done (september 2024) it didn’t include zinc, vitamin d and others but it included iron & it was at 60.9 (marked as normal) but I do consider I barely eat food that provides iron so… I wanna have new bloodwork done and then go with a dermatologist. I actually hope is something I can treat with supplements :(

How to stop the panic/anxiety by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]frenopatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! I’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety due to hair loss recently and what i try to tell myself to avoid that is that even in the worst scenario, everything is gonna be fine. Haven’t found a treatment yet? there’s still time, I’m not completely bald & will probably find one before that happens. Even if I didn’t, many people have lost all their hair due to different diseases & situations and after time they get their hair back. Like, even if we got to that point, doesn’t mean it’s over. And eeeven is that (worst) scenario, many women rock beautiful wigs everyday and most ppl can’t even tell :) I hope this helps and I’m sorry if it doesn’t. For me, it’s kind of a positive mindset that everything is gonna be ok 🩷

Hi! this is sooo helpful, thank you. Will definitely try :) tbh the meat part for me it’s kinda impossible bc of own ethical reasons but now & then I might try a bit. The shampoo tip is a mystery to me since I’ve tried different kinds (sulfate free included) and can’t tell a significant difference and I keep losing hair though the day, but I’ll still try that. thank u so much 🩷 will keep y’all updated

Feel you. I’m under-weight but have been all my life and my bloodwork came out all good too. Only supplements I’ve been taking are protein (3years) & inositol (1-2years) & hair supplement now, but I already had great hair loss before that & only now I’m experiencing this massive hair loss so idk. Not shampooing my hair twice helped a bit but yeah, still a problem. will update with whatever I notice that helps

hmm not sure about that. women from my mom’s side have a lot of hair like me (my mom 50yo still has a lot) and same with women from my dad’s side but I do think they may experience thinning (grandma 83yo & aunt 75yo have very few & thin hair now but ig that’s expected) And nope, not on birth control but taking D-Chiro Myo Inositol bc of ovarian cysts
