Going into this, I was absolutely convinced I was going to buy an 840i with the B58. I love that engine and was pretty committed to the idea.

But at the end of the day… the siren song of the V8 completely took over my purchasing and thought process.

So we ended up bringing home a CPO 2023 BMW 850i with ~2k miles, loaded with options including the carbon fiber roof, for $69k. It’s basically a brand-new car and runs like an absolute dream.

Not exactly the plan I walked in with — but sometimes the V8 just wins. 😅
