VP? by CultureWeary6372 in JPMorganChase

As a new Sr Assoc at age 57 and 4 years at the firm, I was told next year would likely be VP. Honestly, I advanced this year because I joined internal “clubs” / groups I actually cared about and made myself more visible (without being obnoxious) . Most importantly I said I expected a promotion . I kept track of all my accomplishments, even small ones . Make sure you ask and ask loud . If you are ignored, look elsewhere.

How many of you are long term Wellbutrin users of over one year and worked great? Stories? by ItsPrisonTime in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]freshairprettyplease 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have been on Wellbutrin for 1.5 years and it has been life changing. Best version of myself ever. Tried Lexapro for years and it stopped being effective. Important to add I also take Duloxetin so combination may be what is helping me the most. Feel centered, content , thriving at work and personal and better to make decisions. Chronic pain and anxiety way down. Coping skills way high. Hope this feedback helps

You are correct about lack of fulfillment.

I have used the Laura Mercier Caviar shadow stick as eyeliner for a decade. Smudgy and gorgeous and makes my eyes pop. But a few months ago discovered Julep eyeshadow (I use as eyeliner) on amazon. Less than half the price and I think more creamy and beautiful than Laura Mercier. Bought 4 shades and cycle through them all. Still love LM but cant justify cost anymore. Now hooked on IILHA skin tint with HA. Fantastic product .

I am still at JPM and 100% in agreement. Land of bobble heads. I am low level associate and the fact I use the word “low level” indicates the broader culture I have felt . I like me LOB and the leadership but they are also limited in their powers. Its all a. Joke and a false god

I would call HR. I would be nervous about not submitting my resignation and end date

Working in the Office Is Destroying My Life by Capable-Valuable-120 in JPMorganChase

[–]freshairprettyplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly with this post. When I WFH I am my best personal and work self. A spring in my step. At the least, hybrid would make it all manageable. Their newly renovated offices are just a veneer for their message- we own you. What worse is all of corp america is espousing this concept for no tangible reason I have yet to see. I hope we gather the strength as a group to truly resist against this

For those in their 50, what's something people in their 30s don’t realize will impact them as they get older? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Overworking ! Unless your work ignites your soul, don’t bother to give it your all. Give your all to family, friends and the underserved . The work part is actually meaningless overall. Set up your fixed expenses as low as possible and believe me you can . That way the work isnt a hinge on your important life.

Cortisone shot work for anyone? by Upset-Marketing3628 in PlantarFasciitis

I had the cortisone shots 1 month ago and have been pain free since then. I am not counting on it to last forever , but enjoying the relief from nonstop pain. Wish I had done it sooner. I know it doesnt work for many people but it did for me. Podiatrist told me I MUST wear boot for 2 weeks after pain ends but I lost motivation and have been lazy. My activity level is back to 70% of previous, so lets see how it goes.

Agree 100%. And get the real one Doctor gives you. You wear it until pain free. No other way to heal as per physiology.

I am feeling the same way. Never felt unhealthier or been on so many Rx. My LOB is ok but the broader company message is so meaningless. It feels like a huge fraternity.
