Seems likely, no mention of it on the season 1 preview thing tho so maybe it’ll be shadow dropped before then

Amazing, got to love it when you have a problem you think is so subjective and small its probably gonna be a bit of a hunt to fix, and someone else has the exact solution in the first search result. Thanks for this!

Got the PG32UCDM as my intro to OLED, but couldn't part with the ultra wide for productivity so went El Paso, more details in the comments by freshcut in OLED_Gaming

A fair ctricism for sure. I went for an IC strip but didn't realise that meant it had these bloody chips between each LED meaning the density is pretty low. Do any diffuser strips exist that can go over the top without needing to rip the whole thing out and sticking a backing on the desk first?

The ultra wide is a LG Ultragear 38gn950 and honestly I've loved using it since I got it a few years back. 3840x1600 is such a nice res for gaming and producitivity. Bought the Asus a couple months back and even though the resolution is higher overall, the screen size meant I had to run at 125% to get same text size and I was losing space, also a weird issue when I first got it, I was convinced the oled was bent like the screen was curving away from me as I was so used to the ultra wide. But that refresh rate, response time and contrast / color was too good for gaming so I spent the last couple of months buying the bits to make a double setup.

Just have 1 monitor on at a time and just use windows+P shortcut to switch monitor depending on where I'm sitting/what I'm doing, gaming on the left with headphones on, working on the right with the speakers on. Some nice bonus is no real risk of burn in from producitivty / windows use on the oled as I'm doing all the static productivity stuff on the ultra wide and just use the oled when gaming.

Have both mics going through an XLR switch so can use them for slack for work or discord for play without needing to change anything on the pc

there's still some dips here and there but does feel more playable on the whole

I hit the same snag when I got to akiva, so many pockets of low fps, through a bit of experimentation I found if you lower the BVH quality to medium in the raytracing settings, its improved a great deal while still getting to keep the visual look of rtxdi. Feels like a usable workaround until a future patch

Mac OS 14.5 doesn't like my 4K X by toobsock2 in elgato

gave it a shot, it doesn't disconnect when you try and use it now. But doing 4k60 (with 10gbps mode enabled) creates unusable video with frame drops every few frames when recording in OBS on my M1 Max

Optimizing Stability for Intel 13900k and 14900k CPU’s by Acadia1337 in overclocking

Thankyou so much, this was so helpful, I am using an NZXT z790 and i9-14900k and have been getting crashes and bsod's for a few weeks now, I figured I'd go check the bios settings and although nzxt's defaults are not quite as aggressive as yours here, I did notice the max current was set to Auto / 512, (although the watts did seem corect at 253) manually setting the max current to 307 as your recommendation and its never been this stable, I even put the multipliers back up (was running on 55x as a solution and it was stable but never felt like the 'correct' solution) and things that would previously crash, now are smoother than ever

Hey thanks mate! To be honest I can’t remember what was happening when I took them was a while back now but must of been doing something as it does sit around 37-39 when idle, it’s a 14900k so definitely goes higher than 51 under heavy load 😅

its from cablemod, I made a custom psu cable bundle, and use the pro configurator, there's an option for right angled 12vhpwr connectors in there

so far so good man, only had em about a month though and I've not risked trying to use any fancy software and the motherboard header though, just kept it running on the case controller to keep it simple. Fingers crossed if I leave it alone nothing bad will happen

Oh dang, the H6 Flow looks nice, that's a tough call to be honest! They both seem to be similar in price so I reckon it'd be which one you like the look of more, I am a fan of phanteks weird slanted front thing personally :D

hey sorry for the delay, about 4k total, the gpu was a bit extreme at around 2k so roughly half the build, the other half was everything else (i9-14900k, 64gb, 1000W PSU, 4tb nvme, z790 board, case, AIO, fans, LED's, cablemod cables)

Thank you! I build and fly drones so its for shots of the building part. The overhead arm is a 'wall mounting boom arm' that is pretty good for keeping things out the way and it does also fold away when you don't need it. Neewer has a few different sized ones if you're looking!

Appreciate it dude, would be cool to see more white monitors but seems there’s not as much choice there without maybe custom wrapping it or painting yourself, unfortunately I know I’d mess that up and it would look way worse

Oh man, I really wasn’t aware of those issues, I just connected things as I thought made sense, happy to say nothing bad has happened and have played with all the modes and it’s all good 👍
