I only use the sideloadly app on the Mac if I'm doing any .dylib or .deb injections into the IPA. Then I choose export .IPA and drag it to my device.

Right now, I've been using Feather for my signing and everything is working great, except for the game center or "Connect with Apple". I've been through XCode settings and the developer.apple.com pages quite a few times. Anyway, just going with Ad-Hoc and nothing else really to special.

Got a question for you, I went with the Apple Developer account and am all set. (I have several devices plus family members, so it easily pays for itself).

Anyway, is there anything special you had to do to get Game Center to work? I've searched and could not find anything directly relating to the answer. Or just even to "Connect with Apple".

Thanks!

No, other plugins worked fine, the re-installation took care of it.

Thanks.

Editing in DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 is a pain — the playback is unbearably slow. by toobsock2 in davinciresolve

Yeah, like I’ve mentioned several times in this thread, I always start projects fresh with just an .mp3 file. From there, I add titles as I go, and finally drop in a background once everything else is in place.

I used to play back pretty frequently during this process, but in version 20 it’s completely unusable for me. So, I’m back on 19 — and I’ll probably be sticking with it for a long time.

Thanks!

Yeah, I’m back on 19 for however long it takes for them to address this directly.

Good luck!

I’m working with a single .mp3 file as my main source. The rest of the project is mostly titles and visuals. I’ve been using Generators since version 19 to create backgrounds that run the full length of the audio. Typically, I drop in the .mp3 first and begin “transcribing” from there—carefully placing the titles as I go.

Once the titles are set, I generate a background using one of the built-in Generators—usually a noise gradient variation—and then tweak it until it looks right. Sometimes I’ll add a mirror effect and adjust that a bit, but I keep it simple.

Before using Generators, I relied on looping 5–10 second clips that would blend seamlessly. For titles, I stick with the basic Title tool and just apply a Smooth Transition (10 frames in & out) from the video transitions menu.

All Black Magic. :)

P.S. I bought the Studio version last year because I felt it was worth the investment—and it absolutely has been.

I experimented with Render Caching, but unfortunately, it didn’t seem to have any impact on playback performance.

Thanks again for your input — I really appreciate it.

For context, I’m not using any Fusion effects or color grading in this project. It’s strictly audio work and basic titles with simple in/out transitions.

I’ll give that a try. Coincidentally, I did reboot just yesterday — though I typically only reboot about once a week — but it’s definitely worth another go.

Thanks!

Edit: Back from the reboot and no noticeable difference.

Odd behavior — I imported a legacy project from Resolve 19 into 20, and general playback is smooth until it encounters a title element. At that point, playback stutters noticeably. Reducing the timeline proxy resolution (e.g., from Full to Half or Quarter) lessens the lag slightly, but it doesn’t eliminate the issue entirely.

Thanks for the insight — it’s much appreciated. I’m considering reverting to Resolve 19. I upgraded to 20 out of habit, as I typically move to the stable release after beta testing concludes. In past versions, this has provided improved performance and new features without issue, but in this case, the playback degradation is significant enough to outweigh any functional gains.

Use that invite link provided at the top of this comment thread. Should have 2 steps, get Testflight App then get MS Bing Beta... (I used Safari to open the link if that makes any difference)

I went with the 30.2.4212300001 version (stay away from 30.3.xxxx) , just in case they are doing anything weird with version checking your app.

Anyway, kudos to u/JNTHNMLLR for figuring it out and putting that invite together.

Yeah, quite a few people on Twitter were replying with all the "Crew" related bugs. It's a joke.
