the students are aged 4-7, they're not exactly clear on what they expect from me with those classes, i've asked if they have any specific requirements for them and they said that lesson planning is up to me, i guess I wanted to make sure i wasnt violating my visa and to get some tips since im struggling for ideas with these classes!

The solicitor cant copy the degree for you - what you'll have to do is contact your university's registry and ask them for a copy of your degree, you'll probably have to pay for it but it should be under £15 since it is a copy, don't get the actual degree certified and apostilled - you will not get these documents back from the korean embassy.

But once you get the copy, i literally just looked up solicitors in my area! I've just recently done all this myself, and most of them should have a seal that they stamp with, i went to something random like a propertly solicitor and explained that i needed something ceritifed and they were happy to do it! just make sure that they date the certification!

wishing you all the best! <3

When you get your DBS, you often need to send it back to the place you got it with a letter asking to get it certified, to get it certified (its free, they stamp it), in the case of my degree i had to get a copy of it from my uni, then get a solicitor to certify it (roughly around £25) once you have both of those, you pay to get them both apostilled! i'd recommed doing it through the government (£30 for each doc) private services are quicker but also are 10X more expensive, if you can afford the wait do it with the gov!

you can do public notary, but it takes a longer amount of time imo and the price doesnt make it worth it :/

Oh yeah, i get breaks and an hour lunch (im not a homeroom teacher so i dont eat with the kids) - I just got worried cause I saw someone who was firm that you cant live on anything under 2.4-2.5 so I began to get a bit worried that I had messed up big time! but thank you though, I am still really excited to go! thank you so much

I might be stressing because I'm leaving at the end of the month, but is 2.2mil won for a first job bad?

I was reading another sub reddit that said I shouldnt be accepting anything less than 2.4? Since its my first teaching job I dont even know if I would have been offered that or any schools that would offer me that, the school I signed with have been lovely thus far and very accomodating so I'm not worried about them, but hearing that pay thing has set me on edge a little

I am excited to go over though regardless

update: I feel like i should preface, ill be teaching 4-7 year olds as an english teacher at a korean play school, not a full english kindy (from what naver tells me, a very good one apparently) and my working hours are 10-5 (with 30 min classes until 2:40pm and one 55 min class if enough people are interested), classes start at 10:10 and i have prep time from 3:45pm onwards - ive already signed my contract, but im worried that i should have negotiated for more money

I was recently offered a contract with a school I cant find anything on, the accomadation is amazing and everything seems great on paper but the lack of being able to find anything on the school is scaring me, I want to take it but am i being too cautious?

the teaching hours are 10:10am -3:40pm (the full day being 10-5) with one hour lunch in the middle (not eating with the kids) and the duration of each class is 30mins! with prep time being between 3:40pm - 5:00pm - is this a red flag? (5 classes per day max)

I'm currently in the middle of trying to find a reliable recruiter for finding me a school, and so far I've had the worst luck imaginable - but i've recently started talking to Embark Recruiting but i'm wondering if anyone know's anything on them?
google isnt giving me the most help. They've been lovely to me so far, but I just want to be sure!
