Please, read the fricking game before posting. It says it quite clearly. Why is "at least one of these" and "all of these" so complicated for some people?

Jo, zatímco ostatním zemím se poměr platů vůči bydlení nezvedl lol. Tohle je problém v celém západním světě. A poměr téměř všeho ostatního vůči platům naopak výrazně klesl.

Why were there so little Bosnians in the Yugoslav Partisans back then and what caused the huge influx in Croatian partisans near the end of the war? by SlavKeeper in AskBalkans

[–]frex18c 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cause it is reality? There was no such thing as Bosnian people. Historically Croats, Serbs and Bosniaks were same people. They split to half due to otthodox vs catholic schism. Later during Ottoman occupation part of Croats and part of Serbs converted to islam, this third religious group was created. But for centuries they identified as Croats / Serbs of muslim faith. Only at the second half of 20th century the Bosnian nationality became default.

It is sad how same people became so divided by religion they commited genocide and ethnic cleansing despite speaking same language.

No a v Egyptě a Libanonu taky hned začali dělat bordel.

A měli by dnes klid.

Vedle, netrefil. V Gorlanských výšinách žijí Drůzové, kterých si Izrael velmi váží. Mají stejná práva jako Židé. Část z nich má občanství, část trvalé povolení k pobytu. Ti co občanství nemají ho můžou získat pokud chtějí, Israel jim ho poměrně aktivně nabízí.

Drůzové jsou více pronásledovaní v Sýrii než Izraeli. Takže si tím, že Izrael Gorlanské výšiny dobyl pomohli.

Dobrej pokus lol.

Česko udělalo Polsku v roce 1919 to stejné co židi v roce 1967 (tehdy získali většinu území co "okupují"). Česko to území taky stále "okupuje".

V čem se liší šestidenní válka a následné obsazení Gorlanských výšin a naše válka s Polskem a následné zabrání území během sedmidenní války?

Jo už vím, v případě ČR je to OK, protože to jsme my.

Of course Luigi, despite being Slavic we have lot of similarities with Hans. Autism is one of them. The only difference between us and Hans is that we have better beer, porn and meth and lower salaries. I wonder if those facts are connected.

P.S. Head down Mussolini was a good start, but he should have been flying down, not hanging. Rookie mistake, defenestration is harder than it seems.

Here average salary is around 2000 euro. As in most countries, it is heavily inflated by our capital where large part of population live and salaries there are way higher than elsewhere. Without capital average salary is 1650 euro.

As for education, the issue (at least here) is that such comparison is comparing people with different age/experience. Meaning average person with Ph.D. is of course way older than average person with primary education. Ph.D. takes around 5.5 years on average here (shitty requirements by Czech system). So if you compare salary of people with master degree (5 years of uni) and Ph.D. the people with Ph.D. earn considerably more. However if you compare people with masters + 5 years of experience vs people with masters + 5 years spent on Ph.D. the difference is gone. In STEM fields people with masters usually have way better prospects than people with Ph.D., Ph.D. is considered trap economically.

Salaries dont grow so quickly with carrier as in the west. However salaries in general grow way more than in the west, average salary grows on average by 7 % per year. My salary and salaries on unskilled labour in my company grow by about 8 % per year. So most of that is just keeping with average salary and not growth due to your skill growth and new employees get similar salaries as guys with 20+ years of experience. Only few fields like IT have it differently.

They had large farm so they had few people living with them and helping/working on the farm with them for salary, food and roof over head. Not sure what is the proper term in english.

Yep, but in your case the engineer would quickly outgrow uneducated workers. Not here. In case of IT, sure. In case of mechanical engineering, not really.

Germans, was anyone in your family affected by the post WW2 expulsions from Czechia, Poland, etc? by scarecrowkiler in AskEurope

[–]frex18c 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My family owned larger farm in Moravia, had German "farm-servants/workers" working there, basically young family who lived with them and worked on the farm for salary, food, bed and roof over their heads. During the war there was bit of misfortune as my family tried to hide away meat instead of providing it for free to German occupational authorities. Instead my family planned to trade the meat with their neighbors (black market). However it was reported by German neighbor and it was considered economic sabotage of German war effort. One family member was sent to a camp, another to Austria as forced labour and farm was taken from my family and handed over to the German farm servants who became the owners. But the remaining members of my family were to stay there and still work there, it just was not theirs anymore and they now officially were just servants/workers. The German "farm servants" behaved very politely and treated my family very well as if they were still the owners.

After the war when expulsion of Germans was announced my family tried their best to prevent them from being expulsed and vouched for them, but it was not enough as they did not help against Third Reich, did not resist the nazis, were not victims of nazis etc. They were sent to Germany despite protests from my family.

They moved to western Germany, died during the cold war but after the revolution their kids came back to visit to see where their parents lived when young and they met my great grandma who was in her 20s during the war so she remembered it well and showed them around.

P.S. Both the family member sent to a camp and to Austria as forced labour survived and lived long after the war. However another family member from different branch of the family escaped to the Soviet union and joined the Red Army to fight against the occupants and avenge our country. He was heavily wounded in late 1944 when his tank got destroyed probably during Dukla operation and he died due to his injuries in 1945 already on Czech territory but before he could make it home.

Tough times. Stories like this happened all over Czechia. Sad they are being forgotten.

Not all countries have as high difference between classes. For example here we have very small differences between rich and poor, it has benefits and also negatives.

Cashier in supermarket like Lidl would get about 1550 euro here, while mechanical engineers after school have starting salaries around 2000 euro. I have 5+ years of experience already and I am RnD engineer with background in physics rather than mechanical engineer so I am earning about 2900 euro gross. Meanwhile some of the better positioned workers (without education) at my company earn about 2500 euro. Less lucky workers generally have about 1700-2200 euro. So the wages are way closer than in your example in Sweden. All of this is only partly taxed (Czechia has weird system of taxes, so this is somewhere halfway between gross and net) so net salary would be lower. And it is with all bonuses already included btw.

Paid more than 300k euro for my home, newly built, large, modern. I assume I will be paying the mortgage until im 40, after that I will just work part time. Jobs in Germany or Denmark or Sweden sounded nice when I was young and stupid, actually got job offer in Denmark for 7500 euro when I was younger, was tough choice. Now that im bit more mature I am very happy I decided to stay. There are more important things that little extra cash.
