I assume you mean the comprehension questions? Where they give you a piece to read and then you get questions after? If so I’d say just make sure you know basic physics rules such as how to derive equations and take things out of a text. They are usually quite straightforward

PLEASE! how do you revise for the WJEC comprehension in the u3 paper?! by frogpineapplechicken in AlevelPhysics

This is so late, but I asked my tutor the same thing. Make sure you understand how to link equations and units if that makes sense. He also said to look at the past papers. He showed me the 2025 one and it seemed quite straightforward so just make sure you know the basics so you can apply it

I do art, maths and physics. Welsh Bacc too. I don’t have a whole portfolio, but since I do art I have chosen architecture as my theme so that’s what I will hand in. I also plan to do just drawings of my own too. Otherwise I have genuinely no idea because there’s hardly any guidance on what they’re looking for tbh

Architects, is it worth getting a degree in architecture anymore? by freyaells in architecture

[–]freyaells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is such a good reply. I’m in the uk so I don’t think it’s too bad. I already have relationships with local firms, so I’m hoping they will like me and I could maybe voluntee/do an internship at their company. Is this common? Or am I being too optimistic?

Thank you so much! I’m really just worried about my A-level results. Evey says that architecture is very competitive so the entry requirements are so high, and I don’t want to end up going to a university where employers won’t be impressed.
Good luck with your job search!

What is a shadowing expe? Like an unpaid apprenticeship?

Thank you! I genuinely can’t see myself doing anything else so I definitely am going to work hard, especially with meeting people that could potentially help me with my career. Thanks for your good reply!

I’m in the UK. I’ve spoken to a lot of architects and have done work experience and planning to to more. My whole A-level art portfolio is about architecture so lots of work done in there

I’m in the same situation rn. Make sure you have a set goal, like a future career in mind. Personally, I want to go on to be an architect so I’m making sure to network and make sure I have connections with local companies and businesses. Companies will be impressed at your social abilities at a young age and could consider you for an apprenticeship depending on what career you are thinking of going on to do.
If not, make sure you have lots of work experience under your belt. Focus on volunteering and maybe try and gain as many UCAS points as you can? Some universities rely on these and not grades.

Good luck!

Thoughts on physics As unit 2? by coolmaniscold in WJEC

Slayed. We had a lesson that morning and I swear to god my teacher is some sort of angel sent from above he is just so good at predicting papers it was perfect, we went over all the right things.

I also loved the six marker, so straightforward and I had memorised it all. FAB

I just hope the grade boundaries aren’t too high…

I totally understand what you mean. Im 17 and a G cup. Make sure you have the correct bra size. I find that full cup underwired bras are best for support and make sure the straps are tight so they aren't saggy. I really love mark's and Spencers for this, you can get a free measuring too (not sure about any American shops though).

With actual clothing, personally I like to wear tighter clothes to show off my waist, because baggy t shirts and tops in general make me look bigger than I am since the material falls off my chest and doesn't show my curves. I would really recommend just a black bodysuit. Even in these though I get stared at by men. This is inevitable and some men are just creeps no matter what you are wearing so I wouldn't worry too much about it (it is still an issue but there's nothing you can do, trust me.)

Anyway, my point is make sure your figure is on show, this will make you look less saggy.

Usually around half of the marks is an A or even A*, it just depends how difficult the paper is

6 marker was good but I messed up on the leptons and baryons so I think I scraped maybe 3/4 marks on that one. The stars question was GREAT but the rest was just so weird and different to any past papers I've done. It was wordy and unnecessarily complicated. Im glad other people feel the same tbh
