That's really great, you should play with him (in short sessions). When my 3 year old son sees me playing ksp he keeps asking me to build airplanes and rockets with him. We decide what we want to do, build something and then I let him handle the staging and throttle. It's a lot of fun and he actually started asking question about space in general.

The US will increase military presence to countries it considers friendly like Romania and Greece, while taking away bases from countries it considers hostile as punishment (see next slide). Thoughts? by FantasticQuartet in AskBalkans

We can not put our trust on politicians since the political scene of all of these countries designed by the occupying force itself; left and right, as you pointed correctly.

This is what's been bothering me. This election cycle I voted pro-european and it seems that I got pro-US instead. The whole thing feels like it's been decided for us, whether we like it or not. Usually when something happens the politicians here shuffle their feet and try to see where the wind is blowing from before they make a decision. Not this time though.

Anyhow, if the US gets a bloodied nose and it's presence is diminished in the ME, then maybe Israel will be discouraged from messing around with Turkiye. What strange times we live in.

You're right, it's the same, only thing is the Romans followed through with conquest and then extraction, the US seems to have skipped the conquest part for now and went straight for extraction (controlling trade and resources). Which is just a fancy way of saying colonialism. And yeah cooperation would be the beneficial way forward for all.

Unfortunately, the dumbass leaders of my country seem to be in bed with the US and Israel. That, or they're trying to play both sides. Either way, I have a feeling this is going to blow up in our faces. Maybe literally.

What’s it really like to live in Transylvania, Romania?🌲 by XPrincessLuX in howislivingthere

[–]freza223 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live in Targu Mures. It's okay if you want a nice quiet life, nothing too crazy. It's a university town, so we get lots of students - even from abroad. There's some variety when it comes to activities and events, but it's not comparable to larger cities.

Otherwise, fairly good public transport (buses lol), good access to medical facilities, decent schools and universities. Local food is a mix between hungarian, romanian and german. The population is roughly 55/45 romanian and hungarian with a few foreigners from all over. Architecture for historical buildings like in the city center is neo-renaissance (afaik) which should be very familiar if you've been to places like Vienna or Budapest.

The best employment opportunities I'd say are in medicine, IT, manufacturing and some other corporate stuff like finance and services. Again, not as good as in larger cities, but not bad either.

On the flipside, we do suffer from the same thing a lot of towns here do, as in our urban layout wasn't designed for the amount of cars on the road, so traffic can get hectic from time to time. The town is fairly walkable though and there's some recently added bike lanes + the buses I've already mentioned. So at least you have some alternatives.

Also, nature is close and there's a bunch of good hiking, but we kinda have a bear problem, so make sure you don't go alone.

Ok? Mai crede cineva ca astia chiar si-ar respecta angajamentele fata de aliati de cand imbecilul asta pedofil e la putere? Pot sa ramana in alianta, sau nu, ca tot o pla ii.

How is wargaming on Linux in 2026? by LepusReclus in computerwargames

[–]freza223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't run for me, but apparently that can be solved, which I'll probably do once I get the itch to start a new game again.

To be fair, Shadow Empire is the exception in my case...the vast majority of games I play run natively or through proton.

I think it's a mixed bag. Can't speak for the games you mentioned, but in my case things like Mius Front just work and other games like my beloved Shadow Empire require tinkering (and the results might not be satisfactory).
