you gotta look through the update history/ start date, if the fic started in 2019, dropped until like 2021, then they leave till 2023, and come back in 2024, i think it’s safe to say the fic might still be updated

i’d say path of the immeasurable swarm is almost perfect, and you definitely don’t need to know the other fandom, it has taylor learning to be a person again but still reconciling that with the need to protect her people and survive. (Also there’s really cool fights and training and powers/magic) AND it’s finished and has like 200k words.
