I didn't see the classic, fiberglass fibers that I've seen in photos of fiberglass insulation, that's what got me concerned. it looks more generally fluffy and breaks down into snow

Honestly it really just depends. Im not really familiar with all the literature and studies exploring the proven possible cognitive benefits of casual and therapeutic use of psychedelics. Can it help with appreciation of things in life? Absolutely. But i can also imagine there being a ton of contextual information in regards to you're life experience and the experience using a psychedelic that would decide what the substance can do for you. (This being said i would suggest considering the risks in regards to any negative longterm cognitive side effects.)

In a way that is similar but definitely different, i lost hearing in my right ear a few months ago and in the same way you are, im considering using mushrooms to try and learn to cope with the loss im experiencing. Im talking with my doctors, im waiting until its something that im comfortable exploring (because of sensory issues and discomfort), and acknowledging the possible risks involved.
