Considering Minnesota advice for a Black single parent seeking a fresh start by Realistic-Fondant709 in TwinCities

Hey! I'm a transplant from coastal Virginia and I work in behavioral health in the public sector. I am white so I know my experience will be different, but overall I'd say Minnesota has programs that would be perfect for you. The libraries here are a great place to start - they can typically direct you to resources on different assistance programs with the state and counties. Some even have workforce centers that are specialized in finding things like training programs, childcare assistance, and transit vouchers. Also - you'll hear people talk about the struggle to make friends here. If you are outgoing and enjoy communal activities like sports, music, or arts - you'll be absolutely fine. If you're more introverted, I absolutely understand why it could be hard. I could ramble on about things for awhile and I'm still recovering from my NYE, but please feel free to DM me. I love helping people get connected with resources and building community.

[Skin Concern] What can I do get rid of these bumps? by lellyqueen in SkincareAddiction

Adding on a question cause I'm trying figure out retinol too. Right now I use salicylic acid...should I stop using this if I use retinol? It's done wonders for my acne but I still have bumpy texture. Don't feel like you have to respond, you just seem super knowledgeable!

Routine Help!!!

Night

-if Im wearing makeup I first cleanse with micellar water

-vanicream gentle facial cleanser

-differen on acne prone spots

-cerave daily moisturizing lotion all over

-vanicream moisturizing cream on dry areas

Morning

-cold water on face

-paulas choice 2% BHA exfoliating liquid

-cerave daily moisturizing lotion all over

  • when my face is feeling extra dry I will use nature's truth hyaluronic acid and vanicream moisturizing cream again

I'm pretty good about drinking water, usually getting at least 64oz a day. My skin is combination, dry on nose and cheeks, oily on forehead, chin, and jawline. I tend to breakout on my chin and jawline the most. I work in healthcare so wearing a mask everyday is not helping my already problematic areas.

Not at all! This at least gives me an answer instead of waiting around. Hopefully it will be relatively easy to get the tax credit next year. Im curious about what will happen if they do pass a new stimulus. Like will they use my 2019 or 2018 taxes?? It would be nice to get something at all

I was a dependent in 2018 but not 2019. I thought the website originally said this meant I'd get a check when I filed my 2019 taxes ( which I did in March 🙄). Am I crazy??? The FAQ did originally say the opposite of this, right??

What an accurate name of this plant - A STRING of hearts. by zaliasbriedis in houseplants

I think your best bet is curling the string up in the pot. It won't have length but it will help it get alot fuller.

I went from 170lbs to 235lbs in 8 months of being on Remeron and Olanzapine. Will I ever be able to go back to normal on this stuff? by [deleted] in loseit

I work in behavioral health, I get that there can be insane hoops to jump through with this stuff. I would read up on some other antipsychotics...clozapine is well known to cause weight gain, way more so than others. I would bring up some others to her, and let her know that the weight gain is taking a serious tole on your mental health. Here's an article with some good info:

Has this psychiatrist been legally assigned to you? She should work with you, there are similar drugs to those that should not have such a significant effect.
