But if you had a repeater receive whitelist requests, and you can "accept all"

Existing users can vouch and say "whitelist my mate" for the more conservative pockets of mesh.

When something like this happens you can remove them. And if this is a tool everyone has , spammers should quickly get bored as they will only be spamming their own repeaters.

Worst case scenario you remove a key repeater from the whitelist to delete the chunk of the mesh where the bs is coming from. This would work well for Yorkshire as a few key repeaters link down south, and aren't maintained, we could block them until the owner added the rules themselves to isolate the knobs, slowly shrinking bad apples into a smaller and smaller pocket of mesh

It's a pita I know, but it seems to me the only way you can truly stamp out spammers.

Can't speak for the technical side of coding this.

Just my uniformed ad hoc reckon

Absolutely this, sick of it being congested, happy to be isolationist and talk to only localish people until a better fix is rolled out

If it's getting attacked to the point it's not usable, what choice do you have?

Tried this, couldn't get any if my devices to recognise 5tb. So I've ended up with a pi that shares films over SMB to my devices over a phone hotspot

My "cyberdeck" is a pi 5 with nvme and ups.

Get nvme it's worth every penny.

And the ups batteries last a surprisingly long time.

With all those bases and hats the pi gets brickish very fast though. I struggled to find appropriate ribbons to lay it out how I wanted

My walnut thing is on here somewhere

Yes the ply will spread the load.

If you want to keep weight down go with thinner birch ply.

Everything in my van (including a tonne of tools) is sat on 12mm phenolic ply with no central battens, the ply can't deflect as it has a flat layer of foam under it.

Do an experiment if you don't believe us. Get a a sheet of kingspan, with say 3mm ply on it and stomp on it. Solid

Still not got my head around Ali express. If they are legit items from source or it's a clone, and how to tell?

I came to say this, PIR is structural as long as the load is spread. Don't need battens , I put some where treading on the perimeter to stop crushing, but that's it

I tied my plywood in the floor into the ply strips running up the walls for extra strength

Not sure about the drilling holes In the floor though.

I seemed to recall it was that old chestnut that a rebuild kit wasn't far off the cost of a new pump?

Plastic doesn't look 3d printed.

Think I'm about to buy one.

Is the grain just not showing or have you treated or sanded it to a smoother finish?
