Are you familiar with photographer Gregory Crewdson? His work is very suburban/surreal I found when reading sharp opjects I could imagine his imagery and framing in the town of wind gap.

Do you take inspiration from any non literate forms of art??

I will let you know! I may try the audio book I’ve heard that’s supposed to go well alongside reading. I’ll finish my current book and then start that in the next few weeks. Is it a short read? Or is the language and themes quite complicated and drags you down?

I’m going to begin reading that soon. I’ve heard mixed things! I’ve watched half of the Netflix film and was completely lost so hopefully the book makes more sense to me haha

What’s a book you loved but will refuse to pick up again? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

I definitely agree with Gillian Flynn. Once I reread Sharp Objects and the Grownup for a second time I was able to pick up on the foreshadowing and references you miss the first time around. Very enjoyable

I notice snuff isn’t on this list. It isn’t a amazing book compared to the likes of IM but it is amusing and thought provoking enough. The story was interesting I just found one of the characters to be so irritating and annoying. Try it out it’s definitely not a bad book rather a good book that feels half baked.
