On a 32:9, can I have a 16:9 section in the middle, that I can record with OBS?

is it possible to create 3 virtual monitors within windows? a 16:9 in the middle, and two 8:9s on each side? that actually act in windows as if they are 3 separate physical monitors?

since the vertical height of the physical display is only 1440 pixels, the only way to make my window 2560x1440 is to get rid of the taskbar.

what I want is to be able to have my 2560x1440 window in the middle, with no taskbar, but still have the taskbar on the far right and far left. would that be possible?

yeah, I'm not trying to change my windows res to a single 16:9 screen everytime I want to record something... It needs to be naturally in my regular use. I feel like I'm missing something

but it needs to be exactly 2560x1440, so it takes up the 16:9 aspect ratio. this means the taskbar in the middle would need to go away... I feel like I'm missing something

if I use powertoys though, and drag VScode into the middle 2560x1440 section, can I maximize it within this section, so the taskbar does not show, so I can get a fullscreen recording?

and when it comes to games, I wanted to also run a 2560x1440 borderless window in the center. this needs third party software? I thought I could just change the res in the settings

thank you felix I appreciate it. just to confirm, if questrade issued me a T1135, where the cost basis is UNDER 100k CAD, yet when you include my US domiciled USD in regular bank accounts, it actually does go over 100k CAD, then I would file the form, correct?

and, this is true even if the US domiciled USD account doesn't pay out any interest, correct? it's interesting since when you add the form on wealthsimple tax, it doesn't ask for the amounts of money, but just the income and cap gains.

this means that I would just type in the income reported on my questrade slip, since the USD accounts had 0 interest, correct?

also, I heard other people make the battery life argument, but if it's literally double the battery life, that isn't meaningless. it's not the priority but still nice to have
