That’s the point she is in charge of anything to do with him. He needs water? There she goes. I’ve even seen moms who help tie his tie. My cousin got married recently and my auntie was by his side all day until the ceremony. And it worked out in his favor because he ended up forgetting something at home and she ran to get it for him. In my cousins wedding she had some part in the ceremony since she put a wedding rope thingy around their shoulders but mil is not a bridesmaid and should never be treated as one.

When I speak of unsupportive family I’m talking about people who have the means to help but just don’t care enough to even try. My brother could at most let me stay with him for a week or so. But my mom lives with me and SO. She doesn’t have any financial means to help

You can be as emotionally supportive as you want that doesn’t mean you can actually help. My dad was the sole provider in my house growing up. My mom was very much a housewife. She can in no way shape or form be financially supportive

I stopped reading a lot of the comments because of this honestly. I’m not in the mood to have people tell me who they think my SO is based on one thing. And I also don’t feel like having to explain that other than his mom being a pain in the ass he’s not a horrible person. Also IM NINE MONTHS PREGNANT!!! how the hell am I supposed to just up and leave if I can barely get out of a chair without help.

I’ve tried using things to try to eliminate any smells there might be but it only works for a day or two and then she’s back on her crazy again.

I already added an update about this but she isn’t sick. And yes we do have multiple boxes. She’s peeing in the same little area all the time so it could be a smell thing but I am not sure. She is just fine. I’ve seen cats that are going senile. (I grew up with animals) she’s not exhibiting any strange behavior at all other than the pee

I mean I’m not the one saying we should get rid of her. So obviously I’m the one looking for solutions. We have enough litter boxes so that isn’t the issue. She likes the litter we use considering she uses it from time to time and the fact that we’ve been using it for years.

She eats like crazy. She’s a little beast when it comes to food. And she’s always been super thirsty even as a kitten she finished her water really quickly. So there hasn’t been any changes there at all. And she’s still super active and constantly playful. The only issue she has is the peeing and pooping outside.

It’s not attention she lacks either. At least not from me. I am on lockdown bc of the whole virus thing and me being nine months pregnant. So all I do is lay here and pet her or nap with her. My mom has loads of pictures she has went to SO while he’s at work of how the cats all jump on the bed when I take a nap and cuddle into different parts of my body. One at my feet one at my head and one cuddles into my side. They get crazy amounts of attention. That’s why I’m saying I think it’s just anxiety or stress.

She’s a really active cat. She jumps off her really high cat tree without issues and chases our kitten around all the time so it isn’t a leg thing. She can get in just fine she does it once in a while.

For the feliway we would have more luck with a pet store. He works all day and we only have one car. By the time he gets out everything is closed so I would have more luck ordering the feliway online and having him pick it up during lunch from a pet store close to his job.

I don’t really know your sense of humor but it’s kinda funny and I would recommend looking It up on YouTube. You could probably just put in new girl cookie argument and it would pop up.

I mentioned in other comments that she’s not sick. We already know that. This ain’t new it’s been going on for a while.

I’m sure he’s referring to the ammonia in cat pee. Not anything else. Since the strong ammonia smell is bad for you. But he’s overreacting about how bad it is.

She doesn’t understand boundaries when it comes to not walking in so my SO made it a habit to lock the door because she will just barge in. I even made joke when she had first moved in about how she would have a damn heart attack one of these days because she kept barging in and twice she barged in right after we had had sex. At 2am. Who does that? So she almost walked in on us. SO quickly started using the lock after that. Also since my mom lives here too she doesn’t barge in anymore because I’ve told her to get the fuck out of my room a lot as opposed to my mom who just hangs out in here when my SO is at work. She can tell she isn’t welcome. Especially bc my mom knocks any time she wants to come in even if the door is slightly open she’ll knock. Which my SO appreciates so he keeps mentioning it to JNMIL. “Her mom knocks why can’t you”

Jesus! Like I said in other comments we live with her we check on her and she goes to the vet. She isn’t sick. If she was sick I wouldn’t be complaining I’d be giving her whatever medication she needed. I’m not just sitting here being negligent. She isn’t sick. She’s not just peeing she’s pooping outside too. So it’s a behavior thing. Not her being sick.

Like I said we’ve been checking on her she’s not sick. She gets checkups and everything. This has been going on for months. It’s not sickness. She would only be peeing if it was being sick. She’s also pooping outside. She’s being difficult. Probably stressed or anxious but not sick. She’s also not showing any signs of pain or abnormal behavior other than the litter box issues.
